You passed your thumb over the copy of the book Yuri gave you. It was Portrait of Markov. Even though you were quite into horror stories like that, there was something odd about it.

You opened the door of the club room to find Monika, Natsuki and Yuri. Sayori didn't really go back to school again the next day since she left early yesterday.

"(y/n)! Did you see Sayori today?" Asked Monika, rushing gently to you. You sighed and shook your head, you had even thought about passing by her house earlier but decided not to.

"She probably just wants some time alone, I understand." You told her, slowly approaching Yuri now. She welcomed you with a shy smile, and you sat next to her. "Hey, Yuri."

"H-Hey (y/n), how have you been?" She asked shyly, trying to hide her expression behind her copy of Portrait of Markov.

"I'm fine, just finding it a bit weird Sayori hasn't showed up all day. She isn't like that at all." You said, she nodded quietly in agreement. Her violet eyes didn't leave the book once, but somehow she listened to every word you said.

You smiled at her and shifted slightly closer. Her face suddenly flared up. You frowned at her reaction, what could have possibly made her blush this time?

You then noticed that when you shifted closer, your legs touched. You smirked and looked back at Yuri again. She looked so calm while reading, how could she remain so relaxed reading something so disturbing?

"Yuri..." You called her faintly. She hummed in response, still focused on the book. "What's it that you like so much about this book...?"

Her posture quickly thrusted upwards and her eyes widened. You could notice her limbs start to shake nervously. "I-I-" To her delight, she was interrupted by a somewhat disappointed Monika.

"Alright, it looks like Sayori won't really be joining us today..." Monika sighed to herself, accidentally catching the attention of you and Yuri. You two looked at her, she was giving the floor a distraught gaze. "Okay, everyone!" She suddenly bursted out, now calling Natsuki's attention too. "Time to share your poems!"

You immediately exchanged looks with Yuri, making her a bit uncomfortable. She averted her gaze to her poem and handed it to you.

You held it carefully and took a brief scan at her cursive. As usual, a considerably messy handwriting, but that you had always thought looked so good.

"It's called Momentaneous Mirage." She said in a low tone, you nodded and continued to read her poem.

Minutes later, you turned back to her, impressed. You knew how great of a writer Yuri was, but reading a work of hers in your hands just felt great.

"This... This is great." She started playing with a purple lock of her hair. "Really, I think that for the first time I understood the message you tried to deliver..."

Yuri turned to you and smiled. "I-I'm glad you liked it... I-I have to admit I might have thought of you while writing this." She admitted shamefully, turning her head to the side in embarrassment.

You got flustered at her words. It was such a beautiful poem, how could she even write something like that using you as inspiration.

"Wow, uhm, thank you, Yuri ..." Now it was your turn to stumble upon your words. "This... was so beautifully done, really." You could see her lips curve upwards even with all that hair she was hiding behind. It looked like she wanted to say something but was struggling badly to. "W-Well, maybe you should read my poem now."

You handed your poem to her and she seemed to have calmed down a little. She held it delicately with both hands and gave it a look. Hopefully she would like it as much as you did with hers, after all, you had to admit you wrote it while thinking about her too...
