I shiver as yet another gush of wind hits me.

God, it's freezing out here.

I tighten my white jumper around my torso as tightly as possible. How long have I been walking out here? And why in hell did I not bring my phone with me?

I look around me for what seems like the twentieth time, checking to make sure no creeps were following me.

I hear loud footsteps slowly getting louder and I immediately freeze.

Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. I'm going to get raped. Oh shit.

"Hello?" A soft voice calls out. I stay silent, praying they won't notice me and- "You know I can see you, right? You've got a white jumper on. It kind of stands out." The person, sounded like a teenage boy, chuckled. He finally comes into view and if I wasn't in total shock right now, I probably would've started gushing about how hot he is. "Can you, uh, talk?" He asks with an amused smile on his face.

"Y-yes." Dammit Maddy, way to be smooth.

"What are you doing walking around alone at midnight?" I stare at him for a few seconds. "Okay then." he chuckles, nervously this time. "What's your name?"

"I'm uh, Madison." Why am I telling a stranger I met on the streets at midnight my name?

"Madison. Pretty name. I'm Calum." I nod and look around awkwardly. "Do you need a ride home?" He asks.

"No."

"Why not? You get in trouble with your parents or something?"

"Something like that." I sigh, slumping my shoulders and letting my gaurd down slightly.

"Why don't you tell me your sob story over coffee? There's a twenty-four hour diner down the road. It's about a ten minute drive, so you'll have to trust me enough to be in a car with me for ten minutes." He chuckles and I roll my eyes, fighting the smile trying to make its way to my face.

I followed him to his car because for some reason, I trusted this stranger named Calum.
