     The boy extended his hand towards the female stranger as they came within distance. He notes her hesitation before she gradually raised her gloved hand to shake his. Their hands clasp comfortably and shake rigidly.

     Their eyes meet. Hers very green, his blue. The orbs were the only visible things on their faces as they were both wearing cloth covers over their noses and mouths.

     The girl breaks the handshake, looking up at him. She wasn't that much shorter than him and actually seemed threatening. The boy suddenly felt compelled to tell her his name.

     "I..I'm Mike," he says. The girl quirks an eyebrow at him, and pauses. She doesn't say anything for at least 20 seconds. Those few seconds were torture for the boy, and he bites his lip under his mask just in case.

     "Zoe."
