Prologue

*4 years old*

(Y/n)'s POV

"Mom! I'm going for a walk!" I shouted from the outside of the house so my mom could hear me well.

"Be careful! Don't be late for dinner!" My mom shouted back .

"Yes, and I won't!"

I walked into the forest to smell fresh air. It's evening, but in this forest, it smells so fresh.

I usually wander in the forest to play with animals, refreshing my mind, and train. I walk through the forest of Hidden Leaf Village. I jumped across the river and up to a tree branch, I swung from the tree branch to another one, I ran from tree to tree with my chakra focused on my shoes sole, I dashed from tree to another tree quickly.

Lastly, I climbed a rock cliff without my hands.

I arrived soon after. I panted hard and look my surroundings.

Only to meet with a beautiful pair of blue orbs that shimmered while looking at me with his widened eyes.

I smiled very cutely. I saw a dust of pink on his cheeks. Did he just... Caught a cold? (Sweet innocent little (Y/n) xD)

"Ne, daijoubu desu ka?" I asked cutely. He tensed a bit then exhale his breath that has been held for who knows how long.

"Yep! I'm OK!" He grinned.

I blushed. How could he be so cute?!? Maybe I should make a first friend? Or no?

"I'm Uzumaki Naruto! I'll become the future Hokage 'ttebayo!" He exclaimed with enthusiast.

"I'm Kurone (Y/n)! Shall we be friends?" I smiled once again. I grasped his hand.

He tensed once again. But now I saw his eyes. His eyes were glossy and his cheeks were red. He swiped his eyes with his left hand because I grasped his right hand. He grinned. He nodded repeatedly.

"Yes. We shall 'ttebayo!" He exclaimed.

We were sitting somewhere near the river. It's almost nightfall. I sat beside Naruto who's holding a stick with a fish stabbed within it. He spaced out looking at the campfire, frowning.

"Naruto-kun." I called him.

Naruto's attention was quickly on me. He stared at me gesturing me to continue.

"Were you.... Always alone here?" I asked choosing my words carefully avoiding his gaze.

I finally land my gaze at him. He frowned. Did I...? He nodded.

"But I'm not always alone. I have gramps who cares for me." His frown faded turning into a smile.

I was agape by his smile. He has through a lot, but still smiling oftenly without hesitation. I sometimes hope I could be like him who smiled all day (well not literally, but you know what I mean) in a bad or good situation. I felt pity for him. He's here without parents supporting him, outcasted by the villagers, bullied, and others. But he still runs life like there's no distraction.

'Don't be late for dinner!'

I snapped from my train of thought when I remember what my mom said. I quickly turns into my panic states. This is already nightfall, yet I haven't been on my way to home!

"N-Naruto-kun! I-I s-should go home right now! M-Maybe, we could meet again tomorrow at 10 AM in here?" I asked frantically while slightly jumping up and down repeatedly.
