Chapter 8

I smiled and snuggled closer to him as he wrapped his arm over my waist. It was quiet for a bit and I was more than happy to soak up the feeling of snuggling with Tobirama and relishing in the sensation of his long large arm wrapped around my waist holding me close. After a bit I pulled my face from his chest and was about to say something but bit my tongue seeing that his eyes were closed and he had a very calm expression on his face his mouth was barely open and he was breathing softly. 'He has been working harder than any of us with making plans for the village I bet he doesn't sleep much' I thought to myself as I focused some of my chakra and pushed it out of my back creating a very small tiger

"Hey Kazuki.. Do you think you could find the others and make sure they grab a fish for Tobirama and to be quiet when they come back please?" I asked him and he nodded

"Sure Asuka.. By the way he was there the whole time while you were blabbing about the Hyuga women earlier" He said cheerily and I felt my face burn with embarrassment as he jumped off the bed and went through a tiny hole to get outside. I took a few deep breaths hoping we could never speak about any of that again and rested my head on the bed and watched his peaceful face. After a bit I felt my eyes starting to droop too but they opened again when I heard the earth wall came down slowly. I heard them all pad in before the wall was put up again. I slowly got up and carefully removed his arm from my waist and switched my body with a pillow before silently getting up and looking at the three felines

"Be quiet I don't think he has slept well in a while so I am just going to cook everyone dinner then wake him up" I whispered as I pulled the blanket over Tobirama and looked at the cats in front of me A smile curling at my lips.
"I suppose you have earned some snuggles for going out for fish huh" I said and saw each of there fangs as they smiled up at me. I sat down leaning my back against Tora who always seemed to end up as the pillow because he was a bit too big to handle on top of me. Yuki crawled up on her bed and reached her large paw down over Tora and I reached to the side to wrap my gloved hand under the pads of her paw. Shiro happily took his place on my lap contentedly soaking in the heat from the fire, the spoiled little Lynx he was. After a few minutes of enjoying each other's presence and watching the flames dance beautifully in front of us I unwound myself from the cats and stretched. I walked over and took a pan from the rack I had built, it was just next to the fire then grabbed a few spices for the fish as well. I worked on the fish on the ground in front of the fire and they all took the opportunity to tease me about Tobirama. After unscaling all the fish and cutting them up I cooked them in the pan and gave each of them there serving before I made one for me and Tobirama. Once I was done I put both of our servings on a plate and set it on a chair before crawling on the bed next to Tobirama and kissing his cheek. He muttered slightly keeping his eyes closed and I giggled pushing on his shoulder and he quickly opened his eyes wide.

"I made fish" I said quietly and leaned down to give him a swift kiss before reaching off the edge of the bed and grabbing the plate.

"Sorry I only have one plate.. I never expected visitors here" I said scratching my neck as he sat up.
