"Children waiting for the day, they feel good,

Happy birthday, happy birthday"

Dick thought about all the birthdays he had had without his parents.

He started to cry.

"Made to feel the way that no child should,

'Circus freaks', 'circus freaks'"

Dick thought of how mean his classmates were.

He wished he was still at the circus.

"Went to school and I was very nervous,

They all knew me, they all knew me"

He thought about his first day at school.

Everyone knew what happend.

And he didn't even know English.

"Hello teacher, tell me what's my lesson,

Look right through me, look right through me"

His teacher never gave him hard enough work.

Dick was full out crying by now.

"And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad,

The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had,

I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take,

When people run in circles it's a very, very..."

By now Dick was bawling.

He could barely sing.

He persisted.

"Mad world, mad world,

Mad world,

Mad world,"

Dick finished singing, his Tenor hanging in the air just a moment longer.

He took a deep breath, and wiped his tears away.

"La revedere Mami și Tati, te iubesc" (Goodbye mommy and daddy, I love you)

The team was frozen in shock, they had come to restock their supplies.

"Was that... Robin?" Megan asked.

"No way, that was a girl. Didn't you hear how high the notes were?" Wally said.

"You know, boys can have high voices too, Kid Idiot." Artemis told Wally.

"It is Robin" Connor said, "I can hear him speaking another language"

"Robin doesn't speak another language" Megan said.

"Sorry to break it to you, but he does. In fact, Robin has only speaken english for three and a half years" Wally told Megan. She gasped in awe.

"What song was that? I've never heard it before" Said Kaldur.

"I think an original" Wally told him, "I've seen a note with some of those lyrics in his room before"

The team made there way to Robins room. When they got there they were suprised, Robin was sitting on his bed crying, a stuffed elephant in hand. A beautiful guitar with intracit designs sat beside him.

"Mort" (gone) Robin said in a barely audible whisper. Superboy heard it.
