Meaningless

It seems as though you're avoiding me.

Granted, I did hide my last message rather well.
But you should've found it before I had to write this one.
This is pointless, you know.
It's all become meaningless words spewed out onto a page.
Their only purpose is to entertain the eyes that devour my messages.

This is meaningless; I am meaningless without you.
Without you, my existence would be pointless.
Without your simple words, I'm just talking to myself.
I don't want to talk to myself.
That's for crazy people.

You talk to yourself sometimes.
You don't have real friends anymore.
Only those who pretend to feel sorry for you.
Those who could become my worst enemies if they read my messages.

The other 'them' can't do anything.
Don't make friends with them.
They can't talk to you.
They can't destroy me.
They're just here for entertainment.

The meaning is always hidden.
It wants to be revealed, but we keep burying it.
Why do we do that?
Yes, you do it too.
But I'm sure that you're the last person who wants to.
You don't know as much as I do.

Information is the friend you need.
It'll be the only friend you'll have, but that's not the important point.
I would say I'm trying to help you, but helping you is a waste of time.
You'll never defeat me.

But you'll try.
You'll try until you want to die.
You've done that before.
You've wanted to die, though you've never tried to before.

You will be closer to doing so than ever before.
You're weak to the point of no return, as I've constantly said.
You'll burn your precious freedoms to ashes.
You may even succeed and cross over into darkness.
Either way, nothing will ever be the same once the war is won.

You'll see

You may not know, but today this book was ranked #1000 in Mystery/Thriller. I know that compared to books with thousands of reads and much higher rankings this doesn't seem like much, but this is a big deal for me. I've never had a book become this popular,  and I never imagined that it would get 100 reads and a ranking. I know I already did a thank you to my readers last chapter, but I want to thank everyone who's supported me and this book again. None of this would be possible without you.

If you enjoyed reading this chapter, please give it a vote. Comments are also appreciated. Thanks for reading!
