You might not like me after this chapter :P

~Emi's POV~

My alarm clock went off and I groaned wandering why I had bought the stupid thing along. I rolled over and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. My head felt like it had been hit repeatedly by a brick. I spent most of the night tossing and turning and dreaming of Jake finding out and seeing me as a repulsive creature. It was terrible and at one point I had woken up crying. I guess it was better that I didn't tell Jake for now.

I got out of bed and started getting ready. I stumbled down the stairs and dumped myself in a chair in the kitchen. Ronan was there making his lunch and he glanced up at me. "So just to be clear, we'll be close if anything goes wrong and you can't tell anyone." I sighed. "Oh and by the way you only have half your hair up." He said smirking. I glanced at my reflection in the toaster and realized I had failed in trying to put my hair up.

"Yes Ronan I know and thank-you but the only thing that could force me to phase is Lara so just try to keep her away from me." Ronan smiled

"Will do captain" he said sarcastically

"Sorry" I said blushing "I meant to add a please in there."

"Don't even worry about it. You look like hell and your rudeness matches it." He smirked and I poked my tongue at him. The others came down the stairs dressed. I sighed and picked up my bag

~Jake's POV~

I was waiting out in the cold wind for emi to arrive. I suddenly saw Emi arrive the cold weather made her face look pale and her lips extra red. I smiled and waved. I stopped when I saw Nate and his crew trailing behind her. I didn't know much about her family situation but to be honest I don't think she knew either. All I really knew was that Nate and Emi had been real close as kids but he had started to ignore her at all costs. She didn't blame him and they sometimes swapped sad smiles but I hated that prick and wouldn't let it go like Emi had. I saw her say something to all of them and I noticed that she was smiling. Am I dreaming?

Emi and the GANG finally reached me. I glared at them and put my arm around Emi's shoulder, tucking her into my side. She glanced up at me and I smiled letting her know everything was alright and I was here for her. The gang trailed us to class and by now it was taking all I have not to turn around and say something. I usually was an easy-breezy person but when it concerned Emi I got super protective.

We chose seats and I turned to Emi who looked uncomfortable. "So anything eventful happen in your weekend?" she smiled sheepishly

"Well I met Nate and well everything spilled out and now we're talking again." She said beaming. But I could tell she was still hiding something from me.

"Is that it he just apologised? Did he give you a reason?" i raised an eyebrow unimpressed

"Well he mentioned the family elders and them ordering him to ignore us." I didn't really understand her family traditions so I just nodded. Something still felt off but I just left it.

"So you've forgiven the whole gang now?" I didn't like this one bit

"Well no I just found out there is more to them then what I thought. Don't get me wrong they're still are a little snobbish but they're good people."

"If you say so" I said not at all convinced, the rest of the day passed by slowly. The gang was never far behind us. The final bell rang and I turned to Emi. "Hey, are you coming over this arvo bud?" she looked at me apologetically.

"No I have to be home. Sorry maybe tomorrow"

I smiled "no problem." As I turned around I heard Nate talking to Emi
