~Emi's POV~

I woke up to Hemi's hand smashing into my face. "Ugh" I groaned as I reached up to touch my face. This was the third time he'd hit me in his sleep. He was a deep sleeper so I shoved his body away from me. Getting hit again wasn't really appealing. I rolled onto my back and rubbed my eyes. Last night's sleepover in the living room had been fun after everyone forgot about Cooper's arrival. It was a good bonding experience. I hit Hemi with my pillow as paybeck

I glanced around. Everyone was still sound asleep. I shivered as I noticed how cold it was. I looked down for the blanket I had on last night. Instead I saw Ronan's buff figure curled around me. It was then that I noticed his soft breathing in my ear. He was shirtless but when I touched his arm (which was wrapped around my waist) he felt really warm. I debated getting up but the cold made me lean closer to Ronan's heated body. I started dozing off again when I heard someone get up and stretch.

"Guys get up" Nate said sleepily

Hemi jerked awake into a sitting position and so did Lucas. Those two could pass as twins I thought to myself smiling. Nate came over and kicked Ronan on the legs to wake him up. He groaned and squeezed me gently while pulling me closer. He opened his eyes blearily and looked around. His eyes landed on me and he smiled sheepishly.

"Best sleep ever" he said yawning "you're like an overgrown teddy bear Emi." He said while poking me just above my hips, also known as the fatal buzz spot. I squealed in shock and scooted towards Hemi, who ruffled my hair affectionately. I poked out my tongue at both of them.

The cold started to get to me now I was away from Ronan and I started to shiver. Ronan smiled and threw me a blanket which I wrapped around my head and body so only my face was sticking out. "How are you guys not cold?" I asked amazed

Hemi chuckled "it's a guy/wolf thing. Our temperatures don't change at all."

"I'm pretty sure that counts as sexist" I said pouting slightly. Kara laughed and wandered sleepily toward the door. "Bye" I called out behind her.

"She's running home" Lucas replied to my worried epression. I went upstairs and changed into my school uniform. I went downstairs again and sat at the table. Nate passed me my lunch and I got myself some cereal for breakfast.

"Today's going to be awkward" I said sighing, thinking of Lara.

"Nah it'll be fine. Unless Cooper doesn't get the hint and back off" Nate said scowling. I couldn't help but smile at his face.

"I was talking about Lara and Jake being together now"

"Oh! Well imprinting is a little different to normal dating. The partners are what they need to be for each other. One of Lucas' elders imprinted when he was ten on a five year old. Because she was so young he changed into what she needed, a friend or babysitter" he said smiling. "I'm pretty sure Jake is being the friend Lara has needed her whole life. After a while they'll start dating but for now they're just friends."I breathed a sigh of relief. This would be easier to deal with if it moved slowly.

At school, we met up with Jake. I ran and gave him a hug. He just laughed at me and hugged me back. Lara joined us and hugged Ronan. She seemed to be making an effort, so I gave her a small smile. We all split for our classes as the bell went. I had Spanish with Lara and Hemi. We walked in silence. We were just outside the Spanish room when Lindsay walked past.

Lindsay was school slut and hated me for being related to Nate and best friends with Jake. Both of whom had rejected her

"Emi" she said in a sickly sweet voice. "Still dressing like a daggy, pencil-necked virgin?" she asked walking past me. I kept walking and ignored her very existence. I glanced over my shoulder when I realised Lara and Hemi had stopped. They stood shocked at me and how I had reacted. Afterall I had proven I wasn't afriad to fight. I gave them a shrug that sort of showed I was used to this treatment. People had noticed Nate's treatment of me and followed suit like mindless sheep
