Leimomi and Akamu are twins, almost identical but due to their species, lean towards a more attractive look due to their gender. Akamu has more structured and sharp features while Leimomi has soft and gentle features, appearing to look sweet and innocent as Akamu looks sarcastic yet calm. They has almond shaped eyes, blue orbs held within and their pupils can dilate much like a feline's and even blink vertically like a reptile in their original forms. Their looks adjust to look more human when out of water or by humans. Their mouths are full of fangs, sharp and tiny with hooks on the sides to tear flesh. Leimomi has long black hair resembling silk while Akuma's black hair is cut short but silky just like his sister's. They share the same colour of scales along their tails, shoulders and cheekbones, iridescent scales that shine all colours when reflecting light but originally appears to look a dark green and blue. Their fins are long, beautiful like a gown trailing behind them from their tail, hips, arms and back. Along their ribs are their gills as well as on the sides of their necks with frilly fins between them the colour of coral and almost looks like jellyfish tendrils. Their ears are long fins accompanied with another pair of flowy fins at their jaws by their ears. Leimomi's fins are decorated with jewelry.
