chapter 4

I was sitting in my seat next to Jay talking to him. We have been talking for a while now, mostly about Daniel. Jay obviously had a thing for him. So why not helping him a bit? He was a little shy around Daniel.

Our little talk was interrupted when I heard a familiar voice almost yelling in the other side of class.

"What the hell? You're wearing the same kicks again." Zack said to Jiho who looked really sceard.

"Sorry. I forgot." Jiho said with a trembling voice. I was ready to go and punch Zack but he didn't seem like he was about to punch or kick him so I stayed and observed the situation.

"We look like a couple. It's annoying." Zack said and I couldn't help imagine it. I almost burst out laughing out loud. Almost.

"Sorry." Jiho apologised again looking at his feet.

"Ah whatever. It's not my business anyway." Zack said there turned around. I couldn't help but run to him and give him a hug.

"I'm so proud my little boy doesn't bully anymore." I said wiping away fake tear.

"Hey don't call me your 'little boy'." He said while blushing. I just couldn't stop smiling.

Daniel told me what happened at the restaurant we went. I realy wanted, needed to know what happened and what I said. I asked him what was going on after I had too much to drink.

The three idiots went to Jiho but before they could do anything Zack said.

"Hey, leave him alone."

Everyone stared at him suprised about his sudden change in attitude.

After that we went to our seats. I saw two geeks go and talk to Jiho. I knew that they wouldn't bully him so I left them be. Soon Daniel came in and sat at his seat next to Zack.

"Hey Daniel." I said and waved so did he. I heard those two geeks start talking about Daniel and that cough my attention.

"Hey but there's something strange about him."
"Check out his old bag and he only wears that same converse."
"You're right."
"I didn't know because of his looks but Daniel Park... He's unfashionable." Those three said loud enough for me and everyone else to hear.

Because of them others started to whisper about how poor Daniel was. So now I have a mission and I will need Jays help. I didn't want any rumors to spread about him. He didn't deserve that. I'm sure of that.

Me and Jay planed all day until it was finaly time to go home.

"Bye Jay. Bye y/n. See you guys tomorrow."
"Bye Daniel." I said waving with Jay.

I heard Daniels phone ring. He quickly took his phone out of his pocket.

"Oh! It's mom. See ya." He said as he walked out of the classroom.

"Hi, mom."
"..."
"Yup. School just finished."
"..."
"Oh? Tomorrow? Right, it's my birthday. It sliped my mind."
"..."
"Mom you don't have to come. It's really okay." I heard Daniel talking to his mom. I didn't mean to listen to his conversation but it happened.

"Jay this is perfect. Tomorrow is his birthday so we can get him some clothes."
"Huh? You will do it? Well sure it's alright with me. I will just buy him something else."

As I walked out of class I texted Daniel.

Me:" Hey, Daniel."
Daniel:"Hey, y/n. What's up?"
Me:"I need to ask you something."
Daniel:"What is it?"
Me:"If you could buy anything right now, what would it be?"

He didn't answer for a few minutes but then I got a text from him and I can't belive what he said.

Daniel:"Probably a rice cooker. Mine just broke."
Me:"Really? That's all?"
Daniel:"Yup. I don't really need anything but maybe some clothes but that's about it."
Me:"well thanks."
Daniel:"Sure."

Jay have already gone home as I got in my car waiting for it to take me to some shop to buy that rice cooker.

As I got home I was about to wrap it in wrapping paper but a great idea popped in my head.

"I can't just give him an empty cooker. Better put something in. When I meen something I ment money. And a birthday card ofcourse."

Next day after school

Me and Jay waited for Daniel to show up. We were waiting near some alley where we beat up some guys from architecture department as Jay said they were. We heard them talking about Daniel and some other bad things they would do to him.

We didn't wait long when Daniel finaly showed up. When he saw us he looked shocked but happy.

"Jay? Y/n? You guys live around here too?" Daniel asked. I let Jay do the 'talking'.

Daniel saw that Jay had a blue sports bag on his shoulder. Jay gave him the bag with -happy bday- on it.

"You're giving me this? Wow! It's all clothes? How did you guys now it was my birthday today?" Daniel asked.

"We... Well I kind of heard you talking about it on the phone. Here. It's a gift from me. Happy birthday lover boy." As I said that last part Daniel blushed and do you know who else? Of course Jay. The looks on both of their faces. It was adorable.

When Daniel finaly snapped out of it he said to Jay.

"It's too much... Sorry but I can't accept it." Daniel said. I could see that he wanted to take them but he was too nice for his own good.

"Just take them. Jay picked them thinking of your well being. So be a good boy and take them." I said pouting a bit.

"Thanks, guys. I will definitely wear them." Daniel said as he looked down on the bag full of clothes with a slight blush on his cheeks. While he wasn't looking both me and Jay sneeked away, hiding in closest alley.

"Oh! Right! Jay! Y/n! When are your birthday's?" Daniel asked but when he looked at our previous location we weren't there. When we peeked at him he had this puzzled expression. At that moment he saw about 7 more bags just like the one Jay gave him.

Next day

I saw Daniel walk into classroom and guess what? He already was wearing some clothes Jay gave him. He did look stunning in them. I'm wondering what Jay was thinking when he saw Daniel in them. He was probably extremely happy.

As I came closer to classroom I could hear everyone talking about how those rumors Daniel being poor was false and obviously about how great he looked.

"Danny, did you buy new clothes? They look great." Zoe said whit a blush.

"Thanks... I got some cheap duds." Daniel said. I really can't deny he did look amazing but the reaction from everyone was priceless when Daniel walked in. I couldn't hold my laugh anymore so I burst out laughing.

"Hey Daniel! Where did you buy this vintage wallet?" Someone asked.

"Oh that thing. There's no brand." Daniel said.

"Really? It's nice."

"Ya~ Last year my mom gave it to me." Daniel said with a smile.

Everyone kept complimenting Daniel as I tried to get to my seat.

"Hey! Hi Jay! Yesterday...." Daniel stoped talking when Jay turned his head to look out of the window.

"Alright lover boy. Go to your seat will ya? You're blocking my way to my seat." I said pushing him away. I did get some glears from other girls but that didn't bothered me one bit and the day went on just like any other. Equally boring.
