Another giggle escaped me as I took another sip of the bubbly champagne.

This stuff is good! I had only initially took one glass but then they kept coming and I got too nervous to say no and then to fill the awkward silence I kept drinking them faster.

"You must not drink often..." Asher murmured. I laughed. "Nope! Not really..." I take another gulp of the bubbly drink and feel as it fizzes in my mouth before I swallow it, the fizzy liquid almost drying my mouth out.

We've barely spoke... he's mentioned his name. Asher West. I feel like I've heard it before....

I look down at the glass of champagne and take another drink. It taste so good...

I feel so bold and empowered with each sip I take. It's like I don't need to think before I speak! I just want to do. Do something bold and big and irrational. Like stand up and dance! Or sing! Or both!!! I just felt so energetic and happy.

"It's true that I've never drank before but it taste so good!"

Asher smiled and leaned back, sipping his own glass of champagne as well. His plate having been virtually untouched. Mine was half gone but I was too full to eat another bite.

I don't know what he ordered but his Italian skills are impeccable!!! He ordered both our dishes in Italian. When our food came I was too busy shoving it down my face so we haven't gotten the chance to really talk about things.

"Where d-did you learn to speak- learn to speak Italian?" I ask, hiccuping as I finished off my sixth glass.

Asher chuckled lowly. "I was taught as a child by my hired tutor. I never went to a public school like you."

Hurt washed over me. He never went to a public school? I feel sad.... I frown slightly, does he have any fond memories of school? Or any childhood friends? "Oh... I'm sorry.." I say dejectedly. Asher chuckled, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a lighter and cigarette. "Whys that?"

I watch him light it, taking it into his mouth. He looks so sexy lighting that cigarette.

He lives in such a different world than me... look around everyone's acting as if they're in congress around here. All dressed up in their best clothes. I look so out of place. What made someone want to buy me? What would make someone want me as their wife? Er- I mean husband ???

I see our waiter come over and I grab my glass, wanting a refill. I hold my glass out to the waiter and he goes in to pour me some more only Asher puts his hand up and shakes his head. The waiter nods and leaves. No more???? Oh well...

"Privately tutored Huh... Well besides the constant bullying I received my last two years I always loved hating my simple life. I mean I had friends but they weren't real friends...  it they still gave me a sense of place in the world.... ya know??"

I stare at my empty glass, reminiscing. "I don't understand it but I would rather stay in the simple kind of life, feigning innocence, than be naked in a snowstorm. Adult life seems so scary... ya know?"

I sigh deeply, never very tired. I look up at Asher. He had been homeschooled though... I look away, embarrassed. "Oh, well maybe not..."

I look down at my food, it's blurry. How long have we been here? I'm tired....my mouth keeps moving though, like I can't stop it.
