"GO! GO! GO!" Brian the SWAT Commander yells out. Two SWAT teams enter the building making their way up to the 3rd floor. "All clear!" is radioed out to Brian. Brian looks over at Hank, "Alright, you guys can go in!" "Better get the Bomb Squad here!" comes over Brian's radio. All of the Intelligence Unit runs in except Halstead who's still making his way down from the neighboring building.
Once on the 3rd floor, Hank looks around for Shaylynn, that's when Alvin walks up to him. "She's over here," Alvin tells him. Hank and the rest of Unit follow Alvin until they see Shaylynn laying on the floor with the man on top of her. "Why haven't you taken the man off her yet?!" Hank asks one of the SWAT guys. "If you take the man off of me, the bomb will go off!" Shaylynn tells him, "The detonator senses heartbeat and right now it senses mine!" "How far out is the Bomb Squad?" Hank radios to Brian. "Ten minutes" Brian radios back. "You better radio in for the Fire Department to be here just in case" Hank radios to Brian. "YOU KNOW I CAN HEAR YOU!" Brian can hear Shaylynn yell at Hank over the radio. "All of SWAT evacuate everyone out of the building!" Brian radios to his teams. As SWAT is evacuating the building, Halstead finally makes his way up to the 3rd floor. He runs over to where Shaylynn is. "Babe, are you alright?" he asks her seeing the man's still on her. "I'm fine!" she tells him but Halstead can tell she's lying. "Why isn't he off her?!" Halstead asks. "The detonator senses a heartbeat. No heartbeat, it explodes!" Shaylynn tells him. The Bomb Squad starts walking toward where Shaylynn is, "Alright everyone, I need you to evacuate the building!" the head of Bomb Squad tells them. Hank looks at Shaylynn, "GO!" she tells him, "Get everyone out, including Jay!" she tells him. "No way! I'm not going anywhere!" Halstead tells her. "Sir, I need for you to leave!" the head of Bomb Squad tells him. "She's my wife! I'm not leaving her!" Halstead tells him. "Jay, you need to go! Think of the kids!" Shaylynn tells him. "I'm not leaving you!" he tells her. "Jay, you need to go!" she tells him more forcefully, "NOW!" "Sir!" one of the men in the Bomb Squad says to him. "Alright! I'm going!" Halstead says looking at Shaylynn. He bends over and kisses her, "Make sure you come out to me!" he tells her then stands up. Halstead walks for the stairs and disappears. "Ma'am, where I need to get to is well not in an ideal spot," he tells her, "So if I touch you in an inappropriate way, I'm sorry!" Shaylynn looks at him, "Mitch, you know me! So why you're calling me Ma'am is beyond me! And they're boobs! You're married, you've touched boobs before!" "Yes, but you're not my wife and.." Mitch starts to say. "I know you have a job to do and what you need to get to is around my boobs. Mitch, I'm not going to hurt you!" Shaylynn tells him, "Let's get this done and over with so both of us can go home to our families!" Mitch nods to her, he then goes to lay an apron over Shaylynn's face, "I don't want that thing on me! If this blows, that's not going to do anything. I'd rather see it coming!" she tells him. "Alright!" he says then puts on his helmet.
Outside, Hank and Alvin are standing off to the side by themselves. "If it wasn't for me Shaylynn wouldn't be here!" he says to Hank upset with himself. "What happened up there?" Hank asks Alvin. "We came out of the office. The guy pushed the lawyer and myself to the ground. He pushed Shaylynn to the ground but she stood back up and got right in his face. I believe she did that to get a better look at the bomb. That's when he decided to keep her standing up with him. After the window shattered and the bullet hit him, Shaylynn grabbed him and made sure he fell onto her so the sensor would read her heartbeat" Alvin tells him. Firehouse 51 pulls up as day turns into night. Boden walks over to where Hank and Alvin are standing, "What's the situation?" Boden asks as Casey and Severide join them. "Bomb made up of C4. The detonator senses a heartbeat, no heartbeat and it explodes. Right now the man the C4 is attached to is dead and laying on top of Shaylynn" Hank tells them as Halstead walks up to where they're standing. The three of them are shocked to hear this. Severide looks over at Halstead. "We're here because?" Casey asks. "In case the bomb goes off. The part of the bomb that needs to be disarmed, well it's between the man and Shaylynn" Hank says. Hearing that tears Halstead's heart in half, he looks over at the building Shaylynn's in.

"We'll be ready just in case but I'm sure we won't be needed!" Boden tells Hank. The three of them start walking away. Severide stops and puts his hand on Halstead's shoulder, Halstead turns his head and looks at him, "She's going to be fine!" Severide tells him. Halstead nods trying to keep it together. Severide pats him on the shoulder and walks off. Hank looks at Halstead, 'I thought you were staying inside?" he asks. "Shaylynn told me I needed to get out! I was to think of the kids!" he tells Hank. Hank nods, "By the look on your face I can see you're pissed and worried but she's right!", Hank walks up to him, "They'll get her out, Son!" Hank and Alvin then walk away leaving Halstead standing there by himself.
Twenty minutes have gone by. Everyone outside the building is on high alert since there has been no communication with anyone on the inside. People are watching the door like a hawk watching its prey, waiting for anyone to walk out. The only reassurance they have that everything is okay is that the bomb hasn't gone off. Guys from the Bomb Squad finally start to appear, with the first two carrying a huge round metal container. The last two to come out are Mitch and Shaylynn. Halstead sees her, runs over, picks her up into an embrace and starts kissing her. Everyone sees this, they smile and start clapping. Dawson and Brett walk up to them, Dawson tapping Halstead on the shoulder. Halstead puts Shaylynn down and looks behind him. "Sorry to interrupt the celebration, but we would like to check Shaylynn out if we may," Dawson tells Halstead. "Of course!" Halstead says turning his attention back to Shaylynn to give her one more kiss. Shaylynn starts to walk past Halstead, touching his face with her hand as she walks by. She joins Dawson and Brett, walking with them over to the ambulance. Hank walks up to Halstead smiling because he sees how relieved Halstead is now that Shaylynn's out of the building and just how much he loves her, "A few more weeks and you two will be in Hawaii" Hank reminds Halstead as Brian walks up behind Hank. "Hawaii? You two are going to Hawaii? Damn! And here I thought I was going to be getting her back!" Brian says with a smile. "You'll get her when we come back. Until then she'll be ALL MINE!" Halstead says with a smirk on his face. Brian looks at him, "You have six kids already, behave yourself over there!" he says with a shitty grin. Brian then looks at Hank, starts laughing and walks away. Hank looks at Halstead, his face is as red as one of the Fire Trucks.
