Emre Can stood in front of the house in the middle of the night, grinned appeared on his face when he saw a girl sneaked out from the front door. She’s his best friend Lea.

“Do you have any idea what time is it?” she hissed, he could see in her face that she was very upset that someone has disturbed her beauty sleep.

“One A.M.” he answered as if Lea really asked for it.

“And why on earth do you want me to go out? If this one of your crazy ideas to get us on trouble, you know what? Just count me out.” She’s grumbling, because she knows it too well that trouble is one of Emre’s old friends.

Instead of answered, Emre just pulled her hand to following him. “Let’s go.”

“Emre, where the hell are you going to take me?”

He glanced to Lea and that devil smirk appeared on his face again. “Calm down, it’s not like I’m going to abducted you or hurt you.”

She smiled at last. “Well, it sounds like that actually.”

Frankfurt in the night of summer season is the best view ever. Emre took Lea to go strolled around the city, enjoying the midnight view, eating at some classic Pub, watch the street performer on one of square center and many other things. As the night goes late and late, Lea begin to enjoyed her night out.

“So, I heard you’re accepted the offer from Liverpool.” She said when they’re sat on the park bench near the square center.

“Wow, news spread.”

She smiled, “yeah, your Mum, my Mum, you know that,” then glanced to Emre. “Why can’t I know about that?”

“What?”

“You seemed so mind that I know you’re accepted Liverpool offer, I’m your best friend by the way.”

He slightly smiled. “Cause I want this to be a surprise for you.”

“Why would it be surprise for me?”

And that grinned again. “You’ll know, eventually.”

Lea scoffed, “I hate you, Emre.”

Emre burst out to laughs. “You’re not.” he stood up. “Alright, let’s go.” He said helping Lea to stand up then pulled her hand to follow him.

“Now where?” she complained but Emre seemed like didn’t care.

Emre took Lea to the hill in the city near to their neighborhood. They sat on the grass and looked to the city below there, a thousand lights that started to fade away because of the dawn.

“Do you remember this place?” he breaks the silence between them.

Lea nodded, “how could I forget? We used to play together here after school.”

“Hide and seek.” He finished her sentences.

“You were sucked played hide and seek.”

“No, it’s you.”

“Alright, we were sucked played hide and seek.” She laughed as they ended their argument. “What time is it?”

He looked to his watch around his wrist. “Four fifteen.”

“Damn,” she shook her head. “So we’ve been stayed up all night, wandering the city.”

“You’re welcome, Lea.” He teased.

She chuckles.

“And this could be the special part.” He exhaled as he straightened his seat.

“What special part?” she tilted her head.

“That.” Emre was pointed his finger at eastern sky where the shade of red just appeared behind the high building of the city. The warmth light that makes the dark sky gradually fade away, the sun was rises beautifully.

“Beautiful.” She was captivated by the panorama, couldn’t even take her eyes off.

Emre glanced at her, leaned his mouth closed to Lea’s ear. “I love you, Lea.”

She looked at him, startled and feeling so unbelievable about what Emre said and she couldn’t find a word to response him instead she just looked to those eyes.

While Emre felt absolutely awkward because of her gaze. “And I’m not kidding if that’s what you’re thinking now.”

How did he know what Lea’s thinking right now? And yet she still didn’t say anything.

He rubbed the back of his hair. “I really love you, love as a man to a woman, not as friend, and please say anything. You make me felt so uncomfortable.” And that’s true, cause he started to felt so nervous.

Lea smiled at last. “Took you so long to say that word to me, right?”

Emre sighed in relieved as he knows what was she mean, he pulled her into his arms. “You know how long I’ve been suffered by this night plan.”

She laughed out loud. “Emre Can felt nervous, that’s the first.”

He cupped her face, “I love you.” As he lean closer to her and kiss her for the first time as a lover.

“So, you’ll be back at Liverpool tomorrow, I guess?” Lea asked as she and Emre walked on the way home.

He nodded, “yes, and I hope you’ll come to stay with me.”

“I will.”

Emre glanced at Lea. “That’s it?” he asked and Lea showed her confused face. “I mean, I thought it would be hard to convince you to stay with me because you like Frankfurt so much.”

“Well, not as much as I love you and I want to be with you.” She laughed. “Besides, I need to keep an eye on you. I won’t let any naughty girl to close to you.”

Emre laughed as they’re arrived in front of Lea’s house. “So, you’ll leave with me tomorrow?”

She shook her head, “not tomorrow I’m afraid, I need to done some stuff before leaving.”

“Okay, I can’t wait to see you in Liverpool then.”

Lea put her arms around his neck. “Me too,” she leaned forward to kiss Emre once again. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” He smiled then looked into her eyes. “I’ll call you every day and babbling about anything until you move to Liverpool. This is a thread.”

Lea laughed. “I know.”
