It's 10 o'clock at night
You'd think I'd have something better to be doing
But no
I'm at home just about to be knocked out cold
All my friends are out partying
Not me
I'm not into that sort of thing
Too loud and noisy for me
God, I don't sound like a granny at all
Not one bit
It's simple really
I'd much rather be inside in the peaceful quiet
Reading a romance novel
Simple see
So while everyone will wake up tomorrow all sleepy and exhausted
I'll wake up to a fresh start
I'll be the one listening out for all the birds chirping
Not them
But me
