The morning's light seeped through Synthia's window. Well, not her window, she thought, since it was the first night she had slept at the mysterious castle they had found under the Academy.

A long sigh escaped her mouth as she noticed that, even though it was a pretty mad statement, it had just become her new reality.

Her feet touched the ground as her eyes squinted at the sudden light that invaded the room. She had slept unclothed, so her naked body met the mild cold of a morning breeze. She walked over to the closed curtains, and parted them with her hand, peeking out through the window.

She almost gasped. The window was letting through light, alright. But it was opaque. Nothing could be seen through it other than a faint white glow, and the warm light it let through. It was almost as if whatever was behind the window was... a glowing void?

She didn't know if that could even be. But the way things had been the past few days, there were things she clearly didn't know.

But she wanted to learn.

She prepared herself to head out and into the library, where Anaya had promised they'd find her to begin their lessons about entering the magic world. And oh boy, did she feel ready for answers.

Her hand grabbed onto the knob on her door and twisted it open.

That's when she remembered her complete nakedness.

She gasped loudly and closed the door, sighing and laying her back against the cold red wood.

Close call, she thought.

She didn't really have any clothes, other than the ones she'd had on the day before. Which, she realized, were still sprung on the bathroom floor.

She quickly wobbled awkwardly to the washroom door and opened it, kneeling to get her clothes.

Her hands gripped the air. Her eyes darted around in confusion and a heavy realization fell on her.

The clothes were gone.

Shite, she thought.

After leaving the bathroom, she hurriedly started walking back and forth through the room, blaming herself in a haze of confusion and frustration.

Her naked body received even more light as the day announced that it had officially begun. If she didn't exit her room soon, they'd come looking for her. And what an unpleasant encounter that would be.

She darted across the room and eventually tired, landing herself upon the silk sheets of the bed.

Wait. Sheets.

A few seconds later, and she was fetchingly draped in white silk with rose gold linings.

Her fingers gently turned the knob, and her head popped out the door, checking to see if there was anyone around. When she noticed there was no one there, a conflicted sigh left her mouth.

She quickly tiptoed her out onto the hall and wondered whose door she should knock on.

After half a minute, she realized something. She didn't even know which door was which.

She rolled her eyes and almost grunted in the awkwardness of the situation, but eventually decided on the door to her left. She raised her fist and knocked, still grabbing the sheets tight with one hand.

Footsteps in the room. Light, soft soled shoes. The sound reached the door, and the knob turned.

Tyler stood in front of her, his blond hair wet from what she deduced was a recent bath. He raised her eyebrows at her and stepped past the doorframe, out to the hall with her.
