Paindrops

Grey and heavy, heavy and grey,
The clouds gather 'round,
Thicker and darker, they can carry no more,
And the teardrops start to fall.

They don't notice, they carry on,
Umbrellas and noses held high,
Wearing raincoats of careless unconcern,
While the raindrops fall and fall.

The sky becomes moody and dark,
A stormy silence brews on,
While the surface cracks and breaks open,
And the teardrops come gushing out.

Everyone hurries and rushes forward,
The busiest beings in the world,
Their apathy tactfully shields their view,
As the raindrops fall from above.

Grey and heavy, heavy and grey,
The clouds gather 'round,
And amidst it all, they fail to notice
The raindrops tapping against the pain.

Hey there! Hope you liked this one. Actually most of my poems will either be open ended or have several different meanings. Their metaphors are left for you to interpret. So don't think each line or word has only a set meaning, it doesn't. AND ALSO THE LAST WORD OF THIS POEM, 'PAIN', IS MEANT TO BE SPELT THAT WAY, INSTEAD OF PANE (AS IN WINDOWPANE). IT'S A PUN AND HOPE YOU GET THE MEANING BEHIND IT.
