So last time, it said they were going to meet after school but I changed it to them meeting on a weekend. Because I forgot that it was supposed to be an after school thing and had already wrote a lot so I'll just edit chapter 7 later.

Rey's Pov

The bright morning sun shined through my window, waking me up. Unlike the cheery mood outside, I was a nervous wreck. What if I messed up on our dat-no! IT'S NOT A DATE!! It's a..a..a outing! What if I mess up? Will he hate me? Butterflies swarmed inside my stomach, should I not go and say I was sick? No! Rey you wimp! Be b-brave, it's just showing him around right? I can't possibly mess that up. I wish there was internet, what are good places to visit? 

"Rey, honey it's morning, you should get up" my mom yelled from downstairs. "Okay mom" I opened my wardrobe to look for clothes. "Should I wear this white shirt or this light blue one? Hmm... no definitely the light blue one, if I get a stain, it'll be less noticeable." I grabbed my clothes and quickly changed. I went down only after spending 10 minutes to fix my hair. Why am doing all this?! It's just Chris! I-I don't want him to hate me but..*sigh* ok, I'm just going to pretend this never happened, I do this everyday r-right?

I called out to my mom before leaving "Mom, I'm going out for a bit, I'll be back later!" "Okay, be careful! Remember, don't go into the dark alleys! Do you have your mask?" "I do and I'll be becareful. Bye" "Bye, have a good time"

At the town square, I saw Chris standing by the big fountain. Is it just me, or does he seem to be sparkling? "Hey Rey!" He waved at me, he's definitely shining. "H-hi.." I squeaked out before clearing my throat in embarrassment "Hi" I repeated. 

"So where are we going today?" he asked "Um I guess we could go around the market. You know there's always a lot of cool stuff there. Ever since the king removed the ban on foreign trade 13 years ago, there's always been new stuff flooding in." "Oh? What kind of things?" "Like, jewelry, foods, tools or decorations. One time I got this weird looking amulet for Alex as a gift and as soon as he put it on, a near by cat jumped him and started rubbing on him and licking him." I smiled at the funny memory "For a whole week, every cat that spotted him would be attracted to him. He was also buried in a pile of cats too! It was only after he threw the amulet away that it stopped." Looking back up at him, it seemed like his eyes darkened a bit for a moment there.

"Who's Alex?" his voice was slightly cold "Chris? You okay?" probably noticing my reaction, his tone changed "It's nothing, so who is Alex?" "Oh, he's a childhood friend of mine, he's pretty shy and he's really cute. I should introduce you sometime. Oh but if you meet him, don't mention his height, he gets pretty mad if you do." Chris' expression relaxed a bit at the mention of him being a friend. Why? Is he glad I have friends?

When we reached the market, it was a lot more crowded than I thought it'd be. "W-wait! Wah!" Suddenly I was pushed by someone passing by after that I got dragged into the sea of people and was being carried away from Chris. "W-what do I do?" I  tried walking by the other way but no matter how hard I tried, I always ended up pushed back. 

Before I knew it, a hand grabbed mine, "There" Chris smiled "now we won't get separated" Of course like usual, I blushed a bit, luckily he can't see it because of my mask. (A/N: His red ears totally give it away XD) Strangely, his hand fit perfectly around mine, it gave me a warm and safe feeling inside. 

"Oh? These are interesting" he said as we passed a stall selling headbands, before I could react, he picked up a headband and put it on me "Yep, definitely fits well. Cute." Looking into the mirror hung up on the stall, a pair of white bunny ears stuck out of my head. W-why is there something like this in this world? "How much are these?" he spoke to the merchant who smiled back widely "Normally it would be 13 copper coins but because it suits the young man so well, only 10 copper coins"
