the whispers
behind the wall
stop
as your footsteps
hummed the hall

your knuckles
wrapped lightly
on the door,
sweat beads
glistened
your palms

you think to yourself
"is
it
worth
it?"
but you don't get an answer

instead
pain appears
like it's your
best friend,
never to leave
your side

you're the product
of trauma,
nothing is the same
with you
you don't think rationally
like everyone else

no one can save you,
no one can fix you
and no one
will understand
what you
went through

but
maybe
they
don't
have
to
