He didn't plan to be caught staring at her but the turquoise track suit and beige scarf she wrapped around her head makes her look like a model cut out of a sport magazine for Muslim women.

What a better way to start your morning.

He quickly averted his gaze and return it back this time with a smile and said his Salaam. The velvety baritone of his voice meets her eardrums and resonates through the veins of her body together with the musky Woody fragrance emanating from his body with a touch of citrus, she didn't trust herself enough to not embarrass her if she dares to mutter an answer but she has to if she wants him to stop looking at her that way.

"Wa'alaikummussalam", she double check with herself to confirm if that's coming from her. "Bismillah", he urged for her to follow him while he sauntered out of the house and she was grateful for that gesture because she needed some seconds to recollect herself without his eyes doing what it does to her.

What was she even thinking when she accepted to tag along.

The jog was not at all awkward like she thought it will be and some minutes later David, the chaffeur drove to them and they hopped into the vehicle he came with. Exhausted she was happy to finally go home and treat her rumbling stomach but their next stop was not what she expected though she can't say she's not thankful for that.

Mai Shayi Cafe the name of the place reads and the name only, sweeps her off her feet. "We have warm up the body is time to warm up the stomach and the soul", Mister COO said and she replies with the kind of smile he has plastered on his face.

This is the kind of thing she wants to wake up to everyday of her life. This kind of initiative that screams culture and have all the touch of modernity to it. We have a culture that's so rich but we keep hiding it like is some sort of taboo. This, is it for her.

"Do you like it here?" He asked when they settled on a table that's around the corner and not so visible to everyone in the space.

She didn't know where she got the energy from but she blabbered like a spoilt tap on how mesmerized she's with the scenery, their cockeries, their staff costume and just everything about the idea of Mai Shayi and he watches her amicably smiling and nodding. A sign that he agrees with all she is saying.

"Wait till you taste their food, sorry I ordered the flavor of coffee I want you to taste but I can make it up for you another time so you get to choose which your favorite is".

He was apologizing when he didn't do anything wrong while the missus beside him was dwelling on the last part. Her subconscious mind dancing in ecstasy, so he wants to do this again with her.

"Jazakallahu Khair", she answered simply because their food have reached their table and like a child that is offered sweet dish, she couldn't wait to divulge.

Later that day her friends came over and she was so excited to have them over. She displayed all sorts of eatables for them to nibble on and the girls that have come bearing bad news were still not able to carry their shoulders up.

"Amnah you know we love you right? And we'll always be there for you". She squinted her eyes at Fadila pushing back the thoughts crawling to her mind of why they are carrying that face.

"I thought is better you hear it from us".

Okay, if this is a prank then she is so not cooperating. "You guys should be out with it and stop torturing me".

"Khalifa Dunoma is getting married" Zuby dropped the bombshell and she felt her entire world coming to a standstill. She could see the way the girls are ogling her trying to fathom what's going on in her brain. But she has no idea too.
