There are words I never said,
Phrases I am still to scared to admit
Thoughts I'll never share aloud.
Some days these words drown me in my fears.
Approach me so I may approach you,
Leave me so I may fade away.
Ease me into a burning flower
I will always claim to be okay.
I speak to you as if you're with me,
I call to you every now and then.
I leave you messages, and write to you,
Hoping one day we'll meet again.
It's hard for me to watch their pain,
It frightens me when I hear the thunder
I want to run,
I want to scream,
But I know you'd just laugh at me.
I can always dream of your laugh,
It's the brightest part of all of our days.
That kind smile, and silly expression,
Leave me so I may fade away
I miss you.
