Y/n pov

After a little while, we arrived at the Curtis' house. Sodapop greeted us kindly at the door, and gave me a warm hug. I really like Soda, he's real sweet like Pony, and he's a real looker too. He ain't the same type of dreamy as Pony, though.

Soda has sharp, defined features, but still manages to look gentle and sweet at the same time. The only word I can think of to describe his looks are, well, almost perfect.

Ponyboy on the other hand has soft, kind features. His welcoming eyes and brilliant smile just make my heart melt. He looks real cute and innocent, but has this little bit of toughness to him, too. It's like the perfect balance. The difference between Soda and Pony is that Soda's perfection is obvious, but Ponyboy's is more deep; it's not only found in his looks, but in his personality too. That's what I like about him.

"Hey, Y/n! Good to see ya" I heard Johnny's frail voice, which snapped me out of my thoughts. Johnny seemed less shy than last time. I smiled as he gave me a small hug.

"Good to see ya Johnny" I grinned as we pulled apart. Two-Bit entered the living room from the kitchen, chocolate cake in hand, and waved at me nicely. Steve followed Two-Bit, and was surprisingly calm.

Ponyboy and I sat on the couch next to Johnny. I nodded along as they talked about different things.

"Hey, you got a weed Johnny?" Ponyboy asked after a couple minutes of chatting. I was a little surprised, I guess I never really thought that Ponyboy would smoke. I guess it's not a big deal, lots of people do.

Johnny nodded, and they left outside. Sodapop sat down next to me on the couch, taking the spot where Pony was sitting.

"Hey" he said playfully, a big smile forming on his face. I couldn't help but grin back, his smile was infectious.

"Hey" I replied with a grin. Soda scooted in close beside me, then lowered his mouth down next to my ear.

"What's going on between you and Pony, huh?" he whispered, his warm breath fanning the side of my head. I tensed up a bit, I don't really know how to answer that.

"What do ya mean?" I asked in a quiet voice. Sodapop cocked an eyebrow and looked at me, as if to say "you know what I mean."

"I don't know what ya want me to tell you, Soda. I mean, I really like your brother, he's a swell guy" I admitted nervously. Soda's smile only grew.

"I'm glad, he seems to like you a lot" he admitted. I attempted to cock an eyebrow like Soda did, but ended up raising them both.

"Oh, really?" I grinned mischievously. Soda's cheeks tinted pink.

"Shoot, you didn't hear it from me" he winked. I giggled softly.

"So, what'd you two do today anyway?" Sodapop continued. I bit my lip as I went over our day in my head.

"Uh, we did homework, went out for lunch, saw a movie, and went on a walk through the forest" I recalled, listing all the points I could remember.

"Sounds romantic" he teased, chuckling slightly at his own comment. I rolled my eyes, although couldn't help but giggle along with him.

"What'd you do today?"

Ponyboy pov

I exhale slowly, watching a grey cloud of smoke escape my mouth and disappear into the air. I haven't had a smoke in a couple of days, which is rare for me. I've been trying to quit since track season is coming up soon, so I've been cutting back a lot.
