Unsurprisingly, Fenwick was fine after the fight; it was Georgie who wasn't. She'd never been the best at late night, usually heading to bed by ten at the latest. However, when she emerged the next morning, dark bags hung under her eyes and the speed at which she responded becoming even slower than usual. The reason for this, of course, was her new life task: finding food for the hungry Slytherins. She hadn't meant to stay up all night but brainstorming had taken a little longer than expected just like most tasks in her life.
The only thing her mind seemed to be able to come up with was hoping the enchantment McGonagall had placed on her would become sentient and allow her through if she ran enough times. However, after a few days of this, all it had brought her was excessive dizziness and badly bruised elbows.
In her mind, she was quite good at hiding this but Fenwick had it figured out from day one, delicately confronting her when she was curled up on a window sill in the Gryffindor tower, hoping the clouds would be a better inspiration than a blank stone ceiling.
"Georgie?"
She looked up with a start, a dazed smile crossing her face, "Hey Fenwick - "
"Budge up," He said, and she obliged, giggling as he struggled to fit his lanky frame into the confined space, "Okay, what is going on with you, Georgie? Since that night at the hospital wing - "
"Something happened," She garbled out.
"Knew you couldn't hide it for long," He grinned, resting a hand on his knee, "Okay, tell me what's going on."
So far, she hadn't told anyone, not because she was ashamed but because of how other people would react. The hatred for the Deatheaters, even if she wasn't entirely sure what they did, was evident and the repercussions could possibly be severe. At the end of the day, Georgie still wanted to be liked and doing something this big was a surefire way to make her the most hated girl in Gryffindor. Still, she could trust Fenwick, caving and revealing what had happened (Leaving out the döppelganger for now) - if anything though, Fenwick's reaction only reminded her of why she'd hidden it in the first place.
After she was done, Fenwick looked both confused and a little unsurprised, shaking his head.
"What?"
"Just ... you," He replied, "These Deatheaters - "
"Do you know what they do yet?" She asked, "Because it's not a food club, found that out the hard way."
"No, but these people have sent you taunting notes, they're not nice and you want to bring them ... food," He laughed, "Even though you're banned from the kitchens - "
"It's logical," She pointed out, "Maybe the reason they do bad things ... which I haven't actually seen yet ... is that they're hungry. Sometimes, when I'm hungry I get frantic, rushed and mean - "
