I wanted Merly's past to be a bit mysterious and to tie in into the entire MCU universe events...kinda like a plot twist.

I placed bits and pieces that hinted at how much she was part of the "hero" universe. Such as small differences that she had from regular people.

Remember I said she was taller, stronger, faster than any other kid when she was growing up.

I didn't want Merly to have the same dad or mom as other characters in fanfiction do (I'm not bashing anyone)

I had it planned for her to be the first Winter soldier HYDRA ever created...but then I realised that it wouldn't make sense for her to have enough power later to fight Thanos.

So then I decided to make her an Inhuman after Marvel announced that they were making a movie on them. So I said to myself...she can get more powers to fight Thanos when she exposes herself to Terrigen mist... and she can be either Black bolt's daughter or sister...

BUT...BAM!! The inhumans movie was canceled and the show ended up sucking major ass.

Well fuckkkk, all of my tiny clues were for nothing. And I was not going to tie my Merly with that catastrophe.

So...why not make her Thano's daughter?

Nahh, it's too expected and let's face it, unrealistic. (Like murder bots are realistic🤨)

So I did my research on Thanos and his powers and family etc.

I found out that he had a son who was living on earth...and Thane's mom happened to be an inhuman. Kind of a quick fix🤔

So Thane got a lot of powers and had to use a suit to help him control them...so I gave Merly an armor (the one death gave her) to sort of resemble him.

So all of this led me to make her Thane's daughter.

There were some complications because I had led you into a confusing mess with the whole Loki thing...

But then again...homeboy was scared of Thanos, which is why he didn't want to kill Merly.  Loki knew the history of Titan and Thanos's anger for not saving his planet and some of its inhabitants. Maybe he (Loki) could've used her as leverage or he was just simply scared of her secret powers.

And because I like Loki soooo...

There was also a theory going around the Loki was being manipulated by the mind stone which was inside the scepter....😶😲are the dots connecting or not?

So I thought...maybe Thanos used the scepter (mind stone) to get Loki to retrieve Merly and the Tesseract...

But Loki broke through the manipulation and decided to spare Merly from torture that awaited her with Thanos.

Hence, why he told her not to pry into her past...

One thing led to another....and we ended up with the story we have now.
