Part 4- broken

Joe's POV

When I saw that man squeeze the girls wrist, I instantly knew I had to do something. Once the man left, I rushed over to her. She looked beautiful, upset, but beautiful. I noticed she had bruises on her face. Were they from him?!

"Are you ok?!" I asked her, concerned. She gave an unsure nod.

"Let me take a look at that!" I said, looking at her wrist. She flinched when I did so, but let me carry on.

"I think it's broken" I said, looking shocked, but not as shocked as her; she looked terrfied!

"I'm Joe" I said, trying to calm her down. I'm sure i've seen her face before.

"R-Rachel" she answered.

"We need to get you to the hospital" I said.

"N-no, i'll be fine!" she answered.

"Please, just to be sure. We can get an uber!" I said.

"O-ok!" she stuttered.

"I know what you're thinking!" I said. "A stranger taking you somewhere, a big no no! But I swear, I'm not gonna hurt you!"

"It's ok, I trust you" she said, with a weak smile. We got in an uber and left for the hospital.

We just arrived back in the room and the doctor had just got Rachel's x-rays back.

"Well" he began. "I'm afraid it's broken!"

"Oh!" she said, looking shocked.

"How did it happen?!" he asked. I saw tears well up in her eyes. I put my hand on Rachel's shoulder.

"Rachel, it's better if you tell him!" I explained. It was silent for a minute and then she nodded.

"I-it was my b-boyfriend!" she said, nervously. The doctor looked at me, suspiciously.

"Oh no, not me!" I said, which calmed down the doctor. "I saw him hurting her, so I made him leave and brought her here!"

"Well, that's very good of you!" he said. "Well, let's get this cast on and we'll talk about that in a minute!"
