Chapter 16

Drake's POV

"All I could do these past weeks was just thinking about my kiss with Jessica. It's controlling everything in my life like I can't even focus on my music. She's all and eveything I think about, especially since she stopped talking to me and her birthday is today. I thought what I felt for her was mutual; I could've sworn she had grown to love me as well, but I guess I read people wrong. Ugh I've gotta stop this. I'll just smoke a cigar and get back to work"

At that moment, when I went to go get my my cigar from my wooden box in my living room, was when I realized I was expressing my feelings out loud because Keyanna slowly walked towards me after I was done talking.

"Aww you're just so cute! I wish Jessica could've heard all that's" she said while continuing to walk towards me.

"You weren't suppose to heard all that. But since you're here, what do you want?"

"To invite you to Jessica's supprise birthday ball!"

"She won't want me there" I replied while rolling my eyes

"You may think she doesn't, but she does! Trust me I'm her best friend! And by the looks of it, you're a man who's completely in love with her. Wouldn't you want to be there with her on her special day?"

I leaned on my sofa putting my head down indicating to her that she was right.

"I thought so!" She said with a smile handing me the invitation. She then took me by the shoulders and asked me to look at her.

"I wouldn't give up on Jessica. Not yet at least" she let go of me and began to leave my house.

"What does that mean?" I said crossing my arms in front of my chest.

"You'll see. " she replied and she shut the door behind her

I held the invitation in my hand and a smile spread across my face.

Jessica's POV

I looked at myslef in my mirror and put the finishing touches of outfit on. I think I looked pretty damn good if I do say so myself.

"Aw bae you look gorgeous!" Keyanna said as she entered my room.

"Thanks boo. But don't you think this is a little too fancy for a restaurant?"

"Nonsense! It's a fancy restaurant and it's your birthday you deserve to look spectacular!"

"You know what, your absolutely right! Come on let's go before we're late."

She helped me down the stairs and as we got outside I stopped abruptly.

"YOU GOT US A LIMO?!"

"What can I say? I have connections" Keyanna said as she flipped her hair with her hand.

We laughed and we entered the limo pumping the music so loud that the people outside can hear.

"Why did you put a blindfold on me Keyanna?"

"For flare! You know I like to make things dramatic"

I chucked and let her guide me to the door.

As I opened the door I slowly walked in and said "okay Keyanna I think you can take my blindfold off"

She untied my blindfold and I was greeted by a large crowd.

"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA!" Screamed everyone.

Overwhelmed by everything, I put my hands over my mouth and began to cry happy tears.
