Chapter 27

Drake's POV

I stood in my dressing room at the church waiting for Trey to pop in. I need some encouragement from my best man to assure me that this is the right thing to do.

"Ahh speak of the devil. I was just thinking about you Trigga!" I said giving him a hug.

"We have to talk" he said in a serious tone.

I nodded and he motioned me to sit on the couch with him.

"Look. You can't get married to Keyanna Aubrey. " he said

"Why not? I love her and...I no longer have my wife. Don't be stupid Trey" I said with a knife stabbing my heart.

"That's just it. Your wife, your everything, she's alive!" He exclaimed

"Trey don't fuck with me alright? Don't go around saying my wife is alive when clearly she's not." I got up from the couch annoyed.

"Drizzy listen to me! Jessica is alive and well. I know cuz I've seen her! Now I know it's hard to believe me, but she can explain everything. All you have to do-"

"Shut up Trey okay? Clearly all that time you were gone made you delusional. Jessica is gone. If she was truly alive she wouldn't have left me all alone to greive for her for over a year! Now if you excuse me my bride-to-be is waiting" I said walking away from him. How dare he make such accusations?

"But Aubrey-"

"But nothing! Get the hell out of my wedding!" I yelled while turning to look at him.

As I was walking towards the door he had the nerve to open his mouth again.

"If you don't believe me go to my

house. " he said while he walked by me. He opened the door and left the church. Standing there, I woke up to reality again and went to the alter. As I saw Keyanna walking towards me all I could think about was Trey. He really knows how to get to me, but he's not going to ruin this wedding.

"Now if anyone opposes to these two getting married please speak now or forever hold your peace" The priest said. While he said those words, Trey's words were stuck in my head

"Your wife, your everything, she's alive!"

I know that's the impossible, but with her, anything is possible. I can't risk losing her again if this is true. And if it's not true, it will be my mistake to make and Trey's life will be on the line.

"I object!" I exclaimed

Everyone gasped and the loudest was Keyanna.

"Honey what are you doing?" She asked nervous.

"I'm sorry Keyanna. But I can't marry someone I'm not in love with. I love you, but as a friend. You don't deserve to marry someone who's in love with someone else. I'm truly sorry. "

I stepped down from the alter, ran out of the church, and drove to Trey's house leaving everyone in the church still in shock. If there's the smallest chance my wife is alive I'm going to see to it I don't ignore it.

I walked up to his door and knocked on the door. But the door opened itself and I let myself in.

"Hello?" I said as it echoed

While I looked around the empty house I saw a note:

"Trey, I went to the beach to cool off. Sorry for snapping at you earlier. See you later!"

It didn't say who it was from, but if it was Jessica she probably went to the closest beach she could find.
