I don't know what I was expecting exactly, but what Matt did after left me numb.
He leaned in and ─ instead of doing anything cheesy ─ he lifted me up on his shoulders like a bag of potatoes and started running like a child.
《Matt!》I yelled laughing, trying to escape his grip.《Matthew!》
《What?》he teased playfully.
《Put me down! What about the House of Horror, you dork??》
《I'm not a dork, that's offensive, don't say that》he said seriously as he placed me on my feet again.
《Sorry?》I giggled.
《I don't accept your apologies. You hurt me》
《Matty please》I sighed, he furrowed his eyebrows at me.
《Matty?》he crossed his arms. He then thought for an instant and eventually said《I don't know if I can forgive you》
《How overdramatic. Okay, what do you want me to do?》I rolled my eyes.
《I don't know. You could go on a date with me, that'd do it》he slowly smiled, trying to hide it.
《Why would you want that?》I laughed seriously, he dead glared at me.《Wait. Are you being serious right now?》
《What do you think?》
《Wow, so vague. Okay?》
Matt smirked proudly. I suggested we should've gotten back to the others, as they would've probably be looking for us at that point.

On our ride back home, I was the one who fell asleep. On Matt. Everyone looked way too amused at how things were evolving, but I really had no idea how things were actually evolving.
I liked Matt ─ a lot. And he strangely seemed to like me back. I still couldn't entirely believe it though. What if he understood he didn't actually like me now that he had seen me face to face? But, again, why would he want a date at that point?
Harry stopped the car in front of their rental house. I rubbed my eyes and got off the Suv.
《So, um, you're ─ like ─ busy now?》Matt asked.
《I'm not, why?》
Harry suddenly squealed as he excitedly rambled. --《Perfect. You're signed up for our game night, there's no turning back. Just Dance, Werewolf, Guitar Hero, Cluedo, and so much more! I'm so excited!》He rushed into the house yelling that I was going to spend the night with them.
I exchanged looks with Matt as we both laughed.
《They all seem more hyped than me》he rubbed his neck.
《There's nothing wrong in them being more hyped than you》
《I ─ I said seem. I am pretty hyped myself》he grinned.
