Chapter 8 (WINNING AN AVOCADO )

Peridot's pov:
I sat at the bleachers. Today we are gonna run 500m to practice for our tournament. I sighed "I wanted to see Lapis" I said to myself . "Oh you'll see her alright"A vouce said I jumped in surprise. "DAMNIT AMETHYST!"I said angrily at the laughing guy. "Sorry dude I couldnt help it you have such a loud voice"Amethyst said wiping a tear from his face.

''Did you know Lapis joined the cheerleading team?"Amethyst asked. "Really?!"I asked excitedly and stood up looking for her. "Hey hey take it easy dude you almost fell fd"Amethyst said grabbing me before I fell. "Thanks"I said as I sat down again. "Peridot  and Amethyst it's time to run!"Derick said. I nodded and went down with him.

Me,Amethyst,Derick and Topaz are the only ones who are in the track and field. "Im ready to bet your ass"Derick said to me. I smirked "Will see about that!"I said. "Ready...set...''The coach said we got into our positions. "GO!''The coach said ''The winner will get two avocados!"He said.

Okay,remember that I like Avocados?It's true and I want an Avocado. So I ran fast so I can get it. I saw Lapis and I blushed she was hot literally. I keep on looking at her to try to get her attention then I realized I finished my 500m.

"Congrats"My coach said handing me two avocados which I ate because I was very hungry."Your time is 1:15 very nice"My coach said. "Thanks"I said finishing  my first avocado.I saw Jasper he was eating an orange and he was suppose to be practicing tango.

"Okay cooldown 200m"The coach said before leaving. After I finished two of my delicious avocados and my cool down I approach Lapis. "Oh Hey Peri"She said with a smile on her face."Hey Lapis I heard you were joining the cheerleading squad"I said. "Yeah"She said "It's nice and I made new friends"She said waving at Opal and Blue Pearl "Also Yellow Pearl is very bitter"She whispered to me we both laughed."I have to go Lapis because I got to practice for my running race"I said. She nodded happily "Well good luck cutie"She said.
