(Jerome's POV)

"P-Please d-don't leave again", Mitch balls onto my shoulder. I hug him tighter. I can't believe I found him again. My brother. A few weeks after we separated, I regretted my decision and tried to find him again. But the rebels hid their camps so well that I never could. I encountered Sky when we were both captured by squids before he broke out, freeing me as well. I owe him my life, and when I heard him call for my help, I came. But I'd didn't expect this. He found Mitch. I already was in debt to him, but he helped me again anyway. Even with his insane mentality, I'll gladly stand beside him in any fight.

"I'm so sorry for leaving, Biggums. It was stupid of me to be mad at you when it wasn't your fault", I apologize. "Thank you for coming back", he mumbles, done crying. The last time I saw him cry was when we first met. That was when his parents died. It shocks me how easily he cried just now.

Mitch eventually let's go of me and steps back. That's when I notice our spectators. I choke on my breath to see all the soldiers watching us. But I'm more concerned with what I don't see. "Where'd Sky go? I ask the nearest person. Witch just happens to be some sort of fish hybrid. He flinches at the attention, and I feel bad for asking. Before I get an answer, someone else comes forward and speaks up. "Um, he left about a minute ago....", he mumbles, dark sunglasses hiding his eyes. "He's gone!?", another person speaks up in disbelief. I look over at him to see that he wears headphones and a white T-shirt. I hear Mitch groan from beside me, thankfully done crying.

"D-Do you think th-that he'll come back?", the fish stutters. "Yeah, this happens every time someone died at the guild", sunglasses explains. Doesn't he mean Sky's assassins friends? I though that the one with sunglasses looked familiar, but I can't see his eyes. He seems pretty sane at the moment, too. "Wait, who died?", I suddenly blurt.

An awkward silence envelopes the group before some people move away from a body lying on the ground. He has an eyepatch and is wearing a....... purple dinosaur onesie? But he's dead. I can't help but feel bad. ".......What's his name?", I ask Mitch. "It was Barney. He knew Sky when he was still sane", He answers. "Sky wasn't born insane?", I gush. "No. He saved me from becoming insane instead", the person with headphones sniffs. His eyes are a little puffy from when he must of been crying over Barney. Sky must of been such a great person back then. He still is in fact. There has to be away to get his sanity back. I'm sure that there's still good in him, even if he doesn't think so.

Someone then runs up from the direction of the captured squid fort and stops in front of the guy with headphones. "Captain Ty! Two people were being held prisoner here. You might want to come see them", they say. So Ty is his name. Now that I think about, he seems familiar from before the King and Queen fell. Mitch and I probably met him before, actually.

Ty follows the recruit over to the base. Mitch and I share a look before following. One person is carrying a beaten up kid. A girl walks beside them, not as bad as the kid, but obviously one of the captives from their ripped clothing. "Oh my Notch! Jason is that you!? And Aleasa! How did you get captured!?", Ty nearly shrieks.

The kid looks up, and I faintly recognize the dirty face of Jason Stars. He was a lot younger the last time I saw him, poor kid. His dad was from Liblicen, and worked for the old king. He proved his brilliance by building his own battle armor about two years ago. I think he might of been in the castle with his dad at the time. I remember meeting him when Mitch and I talked to his dad. The girl, who must be Aleasa, I don't recognize. But didn't Sky say something about an Aleasa in one of his ramblings?

"Ok, so trying to find a squid base didn't go exactly as planned......" Aleasa says with a huff. "We were getting worried about you! Why didn't you wait for a group to go with you", Mitch scolds her. "Ty? Is this really happening? I'm not dreaming am I?", Jason says with a husky voice. "Yeah buddy, we're really here", Ty whispers, wrapping Jason in hug. "Can you find my suit?......... I think it's in the basement", he slowly says. "Don't worry Jason, we'll find it, and we'll get you fixed up at the base", Ty reassures him. Jason hums in response before passing out right in Ty's arms.

"Poor Jason. I wonder how long he was here......", Mitch trails off. I can't help but cringe. "He was here about a week ago when I was captured. He didn't talk much, though. I think the squids might have drugged him", Aleasa shrugs. "We need to be heading back to the base anyway", Ty says. "Right, make sure to leave some people and horses here to control this place", Mitch adds. Ty nods before giving out orders to the rest of the people. Fifteen of them are staying here. Barney's body is tied to a horse to burry when we get back. Ty ties Jason to his horse and sits behind him. I hitch a ride with Mitch as Aleasa joins Ian. The fish hybrid, who I still don't know the names of, rides beside us. I wonder where he came from?

Looks like I've gotten myself into a whole new adventure. And I wouldn't want it any other way.
