that made her heart race

like in a cocoon
she was alone in a shell
she needed to break loose

there's more that meets
than just a pretty faced girl
she felt not ashamed
but beauty is skin deep
but was she afraid?
was it all in her head?
she was just too afraid
to fall in love again
it's a long story
too much to tell
her past is so awful
no one will understand
that's why she hides it
thus she remains in a shell
