6: The Mission

Ryder's POV:
So me, Chase, ans Skye all headed out to the forest and we stopped near the entrance.
Ryder: "Skye, you can start looking up high, make sure to use your goggles."
Skye: "Will do Ryder!"
Ryder: "Chase come with me."
Chase: "Okay, I'll send my drone out just in case."
Ryder: "Alright, let's get to looking."
Skye's POV:
I really feel bad for Ryder, Katie broke up with him after like only two months of dating! Like, come on now. I don't know about Katie, but Ryder seems really heartbroken. But hey, he's 14 now (In this story he is) so I guess it is normal? I don't get human puberty. But anyways, it's been 45 minutes and it's also getting dark.
Skye: Ryder, it's getting really dark and we've searched enough."
Ryder: "But she HAS to be in the forest!!!"
Chase: "But sir, we've already looped around the entire forest three times, and Skye has also been flying a hell of a lot as well. Where shall she might be?"
Ryder: "I don't even know..."
Skye: *yawning* "I'm really tired, can we go home?"
Ryder: "B-but... We still haven't even made any progress yet!"
Chase: "Ryder, Katie's probably fine, whereever she may be."
Ryder: "And how do you know that?"
Skye: "It is normal, when there is a lot on people'a minds, they would leave town for a while and come back, so that must explain her shutdown office."
Ryder: *sighs* "Okay, let's go home. I just hope you guys are right."
Ryder's POV:
We all started driving home, I just wish the pups are right...

Meanwhile in Humdinger's Layer
Humdinger: "You better not have told anyone, especially Ryder."
Katie (sadly): "No father, I haven't."
Humdinger: "Good girl! Now let's resume our plan..."
