Let's start off with debunking a few rumors.
What bisexual people are:
• Attracted to two or more genders

What bisexual people are not:
• Looking for a threesome
• Sluts
• Attracted to everyone they see
• Gay
• Straight
• Going to "pick a side"
• Transphobic
• Less inclusive than pansexuals

Now that we've gotten those out of the way, let's move on to some common questions.

"Hold on. Earlier you said that bisexuality is attraction to two or more genders. I thought that there were only two genders, and that bisexuals are attracted to the two sexes."
First, no, there are way more than two genders. Way too many to put a number to, in fact. Secondly, some bisexual people might only be attracted to two genders, but there are some who are attracted to more than two, but still feel the bi label fits their attraction.

"Aren't all bisexuals equally attracted to both genders?"
I believe we just went over this, more than two genders, but moving on. No, bisexual people may be 20% attracted to guys, 70% girls, and 10% other genders, or maybe 90% attracted to girls, and 10% guys. Not everyone experiences bisexuality the same way.

"All bi girls are secretly straight and all bi guys are really gay."
Um, no, that could not be any more wrong. They're bi. Attracted to two or more genders. Those are both stupid stereotypes that don't hold any truth to them and are incredibly biphobic.

"Aren't all bi girls looking for a threesome?"
No, most bi girls are monogamous. Also, it's incredibly biphobic that you think that bi girls exist solely for your pleasure.

"Being bi is panphobic."
Being one identity doesn't invalidate another identity. That's really just common sense.

"All bi people cheat on their partners."
Being bi doesn't equal being unfaithful. There will be bi people who cheat, but there are also gay people who cheat, straight people who cheat, pan people who cheat. Your orientation doesn't affect whether they will be faithful.
