For those who have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about when I mention things in passing or make a whole chapter dedicated to these lesser known genders or sexualities.

Agender- a person who doesn't identify with a gender
Ally- a (typically straight cisgender) person who supports the LGBT community
Aromantic- a person who doesn't feel romantic attraction
Asexual- a person who does not feel sexual attraction
Bisexual- a person attracted to two or more genders
Butch- a lesbian who presents more masculine
Cisgender- a person who identifies as the gender they were assigned at birth
Closeted- a person who is not out
Coming Out- telling people about their sexuality/gender
Drag King/Queen- a person who dresses as the opposite sex and performs as that gender theatrically
Dyke- SLUR a lesbian
Faggot- SLUR a gay person (typically male)
Femme- a lesbian who presents more feminine
FTM- female to male, used by trans men
Gay- a person (typically male) attracted to the same gender
Gender Binary- the idea there are only two genders and that everyone is one of those two
Gender Dysphoria- conflict between ones sex and gender, causing distress in transgender individuals
Gender Non-Conforming- a gender identity label for someone who identifies outside of the gender binary
Genderqueer- a person who didn't identify in the gender binary, often seen as an umbrella term
Intersex- someone whose chromosomes, gonads, hormones, internal sex organs, or genitals differ from the norm
Lesbian- a woman attracted to women
MTF- male to female, used by trans women
Mx.- a term similar to Mrs., Mr., Ms., etc, that's gender neutral
Nonbinary- a person who doesn't align with either girl or boy
Pansexual- a person attracted to all genders
Polyamory- consensually having more than one partner
Queer- used as an umbrella term for the LGBT community (sometimes seen as a slur)
Questioning- being unsure of ones sexuality or gender
Romantic Attraction- being romantically intimate, not always sexual
Sexual Attraction- being sexually intimate, not always romantic
Straight- a person attracted to a different gender
Transgender- a person who's sex doesn't correlate with their gender
