"What do you mean he pulled the fucking knife out himself!?" I shout at Bullet
"Fuck me, remind me when I save Adrian to teach you idiots basic triage so I stand a better chance of keeping you fuckers alive. He's lucky he didn't collapse his lung" I've controlled Adrian's bleeding for now and Doc has stemmed the blood flow from Knuckles stomach
"I need to x-ray these two to assess internal injuries, we need a hospital." I say looking to Doc who is bandaging Knuckles abdomen. "Through there, you take Killer and I'll follow with Knuckles" What are these people? They have their own fucking x-ray? Damn.
After X-raying both of them they are the luckiest guys on the planet to not have any serious damage, I set them both up on IV's and head over to assist Doc with Bullets leg.
"Damn girl you's a bitch" Doc says nudging my shoulder with his with a smirk on his face. I laugh
"Am I that bad? I just go into work mode, or I'm useless to help people" I reply
"I get it, I was like that in the field. You gotta do what you gotta do" he says as I set up a transfusion for Bullet
"Is it always like this? These are serious injuries to treat by yourself" I ask, the hospital I work at provides for a small town, we don't get much drama there.
"Not always, but I'm glad of the help today" he says as he finishes off dressing Bullets leg.
A few hours later, Knuckles has woken up but Adrian is still out. I sit down next to Adrian and hold his hand
"Come on Adrian you've got to wake up soon, I need to tell you something important" I say as I stroke his fingers. After sitting beside him for a while I climb up onto his bed and curl up next to him, minding his injuries.
"Adrian, I love you" I whisper before cuddling into him and drifting off to sleep.
I woke up and felt a strong hand stroking my arm I looked up
"Adrian, you're awake" I reach up and kiss him on the cheek but he pulls me to him and his lips crash into mine, his lips and tongue devouring my mouth.
"You are in so much trouble Killy" I say as concern rises in his eyes
"I've told the guys when you're better we are having triage training so you never remove the knife yourself. You could have made this so much worse" he laughs
"Ok Beautiful, you're the boss" he kisses my forehead. We spent the night in the infirmary, me curled up against him.
The following morning I brought Adrian and knuckles breakfast in bed in the infirmary, after they finished eating I went back into nurse mode
"Ok boys you need to get moving, last thing you need is to seize up in these beds, Doc give me a hand with Knuckles" we head over to knuckles and help him off the bed and into a chair
"Great, vitals are all stable, chill there for a while, Adrian, sorry, Killer, your turn" I turn to Adrian and help him to stand up off the bed once he's standing he uses his right arm, the side he wasn't stabbed, and wraps it around my waist and lifts me up to his eye level
"Hey, I'm not your naughty nurse, no funny business when you're my patient" I say slapping his shoulder
"Damn I like it when my girls feisty" he says kissing my cheek
"Come on Adrian, sit down before you fall down, you lost a lot of blood yesterday, you're still going to be weak" he puts me down and sits in the chair, pulling me down with him so I'm sat on his lap.
I could only get Adrian to stay in the chair for 20 minutes before he was up, I removed his IV, even though I didn't want to and he dragged me upstairs to his bedroom. As soon as the door closes he pushes me up against it and passionately kisses me, his lips move down my jawline and to my neck
"Slow down Killer, I'm telling you to take it easy for today at least and let your body recover" I say between moans as his lips ignite my skin on my neck.
"Fine Beautiful, but don't think that means me taking my hands off of you." He picks me up with his right arm and carries me to the bed we lie down and he pulls me up against his side
"You scared me, when I saw you were hurt, but I'm glad you're ok" I say as I press my lips against his bare chest.
"I'm sorry if I scared you Beautiful, I'm just glad the first thing I saw when I woke up was you" he kisses my forehead
"I love you Cordelia, you're my girl" I look up to him
"Adrian I love you too, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."
