Chapter 3

I decided on wearing my white jeans, my dark grey vest top that had clear crystals on the low-cut bust line, and my plum strappy sandals. I added a silver bracelet and a diamond necklace my dad bought me for my sixteenth so that my outfit looked natural but as though I made an effort. I wore mascara, eyeliner and a quick slick of clear lip gloss as my makeup - a long stretch for a girl who's only ever worn mascara a few times. I decided to leave my brown hair in crunchy curls that tumbled down my back as usual to make me feel a little more like myself; I'd never really made much effort for a date before and felt a little different than before.

My sandals clapped across the marble floor as I searched for my silver handbag that had a similar pattern to my top, as I did so, I took in the light grey walls and artwork that was my dad's treasured possession; Each of them were sentimentally valued to us because my mum painted them. She went to art school and opened her own art shop, I even heard whispers that one of my mums paintings were in Buckingham Palace. They were absolutely stunning paintings, every one of them painted with love and affection.

There was a light nock at the front door. I quickly shoved my blackberry and purse into the small bag and headed towards the door; my blackberry was currently on silent as Luke had repeatedly texted and called.

I opened the door and my jaw almost dropped as I stared at the sexy man on my front porch. He had his hair styles and was wearing a light pair of cut jeans, a pastel blue designer shirt and white Lacoste shoes, making him look wickedly handsome.

"Hey," I smiled at him as he turned around and took in my outfit, hunger surging out of his brilliant blue eyes that were so beautiful, I felt a shiver zip up and down my spine.

"Wow." was all he said as his eyes lingered on me, sending my body on fire. "You look amazing." His voice went husky.

"Thank you." I closed the door behind me and locked it, shoving the keys in my bag.

"Shall we?" He offered me his hand.

I took it and he lead me over to the red Ferrari parked where Luke had this morning. His hands felt like silk as he wove his fingers through mine.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked as he opened the passenger door for me.

"You'll have to wait and see." He gave me a mysteriously cheeky smile and shut my door.

He still had the look of hunger in his eyes as he sat in the driver's seat.

"I thought I'd have to fight to get you out of the door." Karn said, pulling out of the driveway.

I looked at him confused, "Why would you think that?"

"Well, I thought I'd have to deal with your two brothers. They seem very protective of you."

"As a general rule: You don't date Max and Alex's sister unless you have a death wish, or if you've got the bottle to face them."

"With you looking like that, I'd fight the devil himself just to have you in my company for a few hours." He grinned. He reached out and held my hand as he drove.

"Well you're charming enough; maybe you could use some of that to get in my brothers good books." I grinned, loving the feeling of his skin. It was a wonder to think that I'd known this sexy man for less than twenty four hours.

"I intend to use it all on you." He gave me a sideway glance.

I blushed and it was more of less like that for the rest of the ride: Karn charming me and me blushing red.

Karn parked up over the road from a building I recognized before. We were at the Italiana. It was a number one celebrity restaurant that had just opened. Every big name in the business had walked through those doors!
