Chapter 15

"I found Barney," Tony smirked.

"Where?!" Clint beamed.

"Oh no..." Tony mouthed, seeing the location.

"Tony?" Clint looked at Tony.

"Uhh, well, who wants ice cream?" Tony said, clapping his hands together.

"Where's Barney?!" Clint glared at Tony.

"Uh, Bruce, a word," Tony gestured for Bruce to follow him.

"What is it?" Bruce asked once Tony and he were out of earshot.

"Barney... Barney is in jail," Tony quietly whispered.

"Jail?!" Bruce was shocked.

"Shh!!!" Tony put his finger to his mouth, frustratedly.

"Why?" Bruce glared at Tony.

"Okay, don't go all Hulk. Some crime Barney committed. Look, I will take a small team to talk to Fury about letting Barney stay for a couple of days," Tony explained, trying to calm Bruce down.

"Tony, this could take years to find a cure for Clint. Nat already told us that she was looking for Doctor Strange. Falcon is already asking Dr. Pym to create a growth serum. All of these things take weeks, maybe years," Bruce frowned.

"Look, I called a friend. He'll be here soon to help. If something happens to Clint, he will get him out," Tony smirked.

Bruce had an uneasy feeling. "I'm afraid to ask."

"You called Tony?" said a familiar voice.

Walking into the room was Bucky Barnes, Captain America's closest teammate.

"You couldn't have gotten Spider-Man?!" Bruce frowned.

"I think it'd be a great idea for Bucky here to babysit," Tony tried to show a reassuring smile, but it looked more like, 'Oh crap, what did I do?'

"Bucky?" Steve smiled, holding young Clint.

"Hi, Steve. Tony called me, said some sort of emergency," Bucky said with his arms crossed.

"Uh, yes, Bucky. This is Clint. Remember, Hawkeye? Well, he's tiny..." Tony pointed to the young boy Steve held.

Bucky stared at the young Clint. Clint looked at Bucky. Within seconds, Clint buried his head into Steve's shoulder.

Bucky chuckled, "So, what did you need me for?"

"We need you to babysit," Tony said without hesitation.
