"JJ, JJ, JJ, wake up! I've got good news" Rhonda's loud voice rang throughout the house, waking me up from my sleep in the process.

It was Saturday, why was she waking me up this early?

"What is it Rhonda?" I groaned, rubbing my eyes in the process.

"A family wants to adopt you!" She squealed like a teenager. You wouldn't believe that she was a fifty year old woman.

"What? Which family?" I felt the sleep leave my eyes in a second.

"The Waters family," she beamed as she sat beside me, her excitement undeniable.

"You mean that popular rich one?" My eyes felt like they were going to pop out of their sockets.

"Yes, that one," she smiled.

"OMG, this is good" I stood up from the bed. I wasn't one to show some certain emotions otherwise I would have been jumping on the bed.

"Now pack up and get ready, they'll be here in an hour." She said before leaving my room with a huge grin plastered on her face.

I couldn't believe I was getting adopted and by the Waters family. The Waters family was a popular family in this town, their wealth and family owned company is what kept them on the high ranks.

Ever since I was brought into the system, I was never been adopted till today. This was the first foster home I had been in and sure I had been to countless other foster homes but I was always sent back to this one. I loved this place more than any other.

On the day I was disowned, luckily a pastor going home from church saw me and handed me over to the government. I had known Rhonda since that day and she played the mother role in my life ever since.

I started packing up my suitcase and when I was done with it I rushed into the bathroom to take  a quick shower. I got out of the bathroom and changed into a pair of dark jeans and a white T-shirt. I didn't have it in me to dress extra today.

Okay, maybe I should have dressed extra but, I really didn't care. If they couldn't accept me for me then we weee going to have some real problems.

Since I had ten minutes to spare, I decided to spend them with Rhonda because seeing her anytime soon wasn't something I was sure of. Nobody knew how those people were.

I moved my things to the porch and I joined Rhonda in the living room.

"You ready?" She asked me, tearing her eyes away from the television.

"Yep," a huge grin took its place on my face. "I'm gonna miss you," my arms found its way to her shoulders, drawing her closer to me.

"Me too JJ. have fun okay?" She pulled away from the hug.

"Will do Ron." The doorbell rang indicating that the people to take me were here.

She went ahead to open the door and a few seconds after when she reappeared, the look on her face indicated that I should get going. I took one last look at the house. I was sure going to miss this place.

As I stepped out of the house I saw a buff looking guy dressed in black. He had a good muscular build and for an older man he looked really hot.

So they couldn't even come pick me themselves, they had to send the driver over to me? I'm starting to not like the idea of getting adopted.

He took my bags and walked away from the house towards the car which of course was a black SUV. Honestly I was  a bit disappointed, I was expecting something more posh.

I was not one to say goodbyes, in fact I was not one to do a lot of thing but I turned around to wave a final goodbye to Rhonda and she waved back. I could swear I saw her eyes tearing up.

I looked away from her and to the guy carrying my bags, "Hi, I'm JJ"  I said, trying to strike up a conversation with the man but he didn't reply.

Was he deaf or what?

He opened the door of the car for me and I got in. The boot was next, to which I wa guessing my bag were dropped in. A few seconds later he got into the drivers seat and put the car in motion. I looked out the tinted glass and I watched my old home disappear into the distance.
