Living with the Waters family wasn't actually a bad idea. I totally enjoyed their company, except for Kyler constantly calling me Jemma. I would glare at him and he would send an apologetic smile my way.

On Sunday after I got back from church, Paige, Kyler and I went shopping though Kyler was practically forced to come with us.

I believed in God and I tried as much as possible not to miss a Sunday service. It was something I learnt form the pastor that handed me over to the government. He still kept in touch with me and invited me to his church. He even went as far as picking me up every Sunday to ensure that I didn't miss a service.

Until he left the country he did that and even after he left, I made sure I still kept to it. We still kept in touch. I read my Bible as often as I remembered and prayed too.

We bought new clothes, shoes and bags though I already had enough but Paige insisted on getting me new ones saying that this was my first time of going to the school and I needed to look very presentable.

Being Monday which was my first day of school at Silver Springs. I would have stuck to my old school but the distance between my new house and the school was long so why spend thirty minutes to get to school when I can get to another school under five minutes. I was totally nervous. Paige was going to be driving me to school till I got my new car.

It turned out that Paige and Kyler were actually twins. They were also the most popular people at school together with their 'clique' and I think I was also going to be rated as one of the populars though I didn't like the idea.

I really just wanted to stay under the radar.

"Stop shaking your legs, you're creeping me out," Paige snapped, bringing me back to reality so I willed my legs to stop shaking.

"Sorry just nervous," I forced a smile, "being a new girl sucks."

I had never been this nervous in my life and it was scaring me.

"I've told you so many times, you'll be fine just stick with me," she glanced at me for a second before fixing her gaze back on the road. "Just ignore unnecessary people and you'll be fine. It's pretty easy"

"You think so?" I asked for the billionth time today.

"Yep. Don't worry you'll be fine."

"Okay." I sighed in relief once again even though I had heard her say those words so many times.

The car came to a halt and I knew we just arrived at school. I picked up my bag from the back seat and walked out the same time as Paige. We both walked towards the school doors with Paige leading the way as all eyes noticed our every move. Some even stopped what they were doing just to look at us. Some were pointing fingers saying things I couldn't decipher from a distance.

Most people were in groups. The nerds, cheerleaders, geeks, weirdos and all kinds of groups you see in schools.

We walked to the front office to get my schedule.

"Good morning kids, how may I help you?" A blonde lady asked from behind her desk.

"I'm here to get my schedule. Jemma Jones." I answered as my eyes scanned the area.

She searched some papers on her desk before pulling out one and handing it to me.

"Thanks" I took it from her.

"You're welcome. Do you perhaps need a map?"

"No thank you," I nodded and walked out of the office, Paige behind me.

"What do you have first?" She snatched my schedule from my hands before I even got the chance to look at it.

"English, " she handed it back, "great, same as me. Let's get to your locker"
