almost two years later, i'm back (:

jungkook sat in his living room swinging his sock covered feet back and forth anxiously. today was his and taehyung's first date. our first date, just thinking about it made jungkook blush.

he was starting to get worried because one, he wasn't sure if he picked a good outfit. he had wanted to wear something nice but today was just way too cold to wear the stuff he had planned so he looked and felt like a penguin. second, he couldn't help but wonder if taehyung meant this as a more than friends date. third, taehyung was taking longer than expected. he was supposed to have come half an hour ago but he hadn't shown. what if i get stood up? no..tae wouldn't do that.. right?

as these thoughts clouded his mind he heard frantic knocking at his door. jungkook hurriedly stood up and brushed his hair down with his hands just incase it was messy, then half ran, half walked to the door.

he opened the door and saw taehyung, wrapped in a scarf with a big jacket on. it isn't fair how he still looks good in those clothes.

"hey guk! sorry it took so long. i thought i would run to the store and buy you some mittens. i have things planned for later but for now let's hurry and get in a taxi, yeah?"

jungkook, suddenly feeling very nervous again, nodded repeatedly and put his shoes on with shaky hands. he zipped up his jacket and grabbed his keys before closing the door and locking it.

"here, let me put on the mittens for you," taehyung said in a deep tone that made jungkook blush.

"o-okay.."

jungkook stuck his hand out and prayed that taehyung didn't notice him shaking.

as taehyung carefully grabbed his wrist and slipped the mitten on, jungkook couldn't help but stare at his face that was in close proximity with his.

taehyung suddenly looked up at jungkook, startling him.

"other hand, now."

jungkook did as he was told and stared at the floor to avoid further embarrassment.

too bad he didn't catch taehyung's shy smile.

"all done. now let's go before we miss our reservation," taehyung said as he pulled out his phone to check the time. the two boys shivered as the wind grew stronger. "good thing i bought you those mittens, we don't want you catching a cold now, would we?"

"yea..wait. did you say reservation?"

"this is such a nice restaurant," jungkook said as he admired the artwork on the walls and the crystal light fixtures hanging above them.

"i know, normally i wouldn't come to this kind of place but i wanted today to be special- i mean! um..well i don't know i hope you don't find it too much or anything.." taehyung bit on his cheek to keep from saying anything else to embarrass himself.

"no! it's so gorgeous here, i love it!" jungkook said with a smile. "i've never been somewhere this fancy and honestly..i'm glad that i get to experience it with you." he said in a quiet and timid voice.

taehyung felt his face grow hot and he quickly looked down at his menu.

"m-me too." he tensed up after he realized that he stuttered and tried to direct the conversation elsewhere.

"are you ready to order?" he asked jungkook, who was also nervous and looking down at his menu.

"um..i'm not sure what to order. is it okay if i also order the same thing as you?" jungkook said.

"pasta it is. um? waiter? i think we're ready to order now."

hey, guys! it's ski here. so i know that i haven't updated this fanfic in more than a year (going on two years ^^||) but i've just been really busy with school and stuff. i'm a junior now! it's hard to believe that i'm going to graduate highschool next year :v

i wrote the first half of this chapter back in early 2018. i wrote the rest two days ago in bed when i just suddenly thought about writing. i'm honestly really touched that after all this time there are still so many people who read, comment, and vote on my fanfics (: i'm so surprised that people can read through my bad grammar and spelling mistakes haha

well anyways thank you so much to everyone who waited for me through this long time. wattpad has changed alot and i was honestly a little lost trying to maneuver through it haha

after this chapter is posted, i think i'll write maybe one or two more chapters before the end. this fanfic has been up since 2016 i believe! that's a long time :p well i hope you can stick with me until then. i cant promise fast updates because, as many of you know by now, i'm literally, truly, the slowest person at updating in existence (: thank you.
