Chapter 20: Burdens of Bonds

Kirishima still couldn't help but be bothered from the scene earlier. Even if he tries to forget the aching in his chest wasn't letting him do so. He really need to stop thinking about it and focus on their date instead.

Shaking his head, he jogged towards the blonde who was walking ahead of him.

"So? What do we have planned to do Bakubro?" he asked as he walk side by side with him.

The blonde seemed to have been caught off guard as light pink dusted his cheeks. Whether he was blushing or not Kirishima couldn't confirm it as the blonde had immediately looked away.

"The hell if I know!! Wasn't this your fucking idea in the first place?"

"Oh! I didn't really have a specific plan at all"

"The heck then what do we do?"

"Well, for starters we really can't walk around the town all day and going to the arcade would seem like the usual routine. Why don't we just go with the standard date plan?!"

He expected Bakugou to be shouting and throwing a fit, but the blonde simply nodded "whatever"

As said, they first went to the movies. They just picked a random one, but it surprisingly turned put to be a pretty interesting movie. After that they went around the mall just looking over the shops and doing a bit of buying here and there.

The date simply turned out doing whatever Kirishima felt like what he wanted to do, to his surprise Bakugou wasn't really complaining like he usually does and went along with every one of his whims.

Everything turned out to be fun and he had completely forgotten all the things that he was worrying about and just simply enjoyed the great time that he was having with Bakugou except for the very last one of their date.

Another one of his whim was to try out a famous high class fine dining restaurant in the area which he really regrets going in the moment they were in their table as Kirishima felt so out of place in his casual clothes in such a high class looking place. He curses at how Bakugou was so indifferent to the ambiance of the place and seemingly so confident in his movements like he owns the place.

Bakugou even had the nerve to chuckle at his embarrassment and smirk at him as if he won over a bet. "You're paying for all these" Kirishima pouted not liking his attitude at all but he was glad that Bakugou was also having fun even if its teasing him.

He had completely forgotten his embarrassment and the feeling of being out of place as he relish the savory taste of the steak served for him and the blonde had simply watched him enjoy as they ate their dinner.

They were finally on their walking back to the dorms, it was already late, but the day had turned out really satisfying. Kirishima was still gushing about the movie and the food when out of nowhere he felt a warm hand intertwined with his making his heart almost stop and he was rendered completely speechless with a terrible fever red in his face.

It hurts...

Throughout their date, whatever they do or wherever they go at one point the blonde alpha would always ask if he was having fun and whenever he would answer with a smile Bakugou would smile back at him – not his usual smirk but genuinely smile. Kirishima won't be able to stop his heart on skipping a beat and the ridiculous dumbfounded look on his face so most of the time.

He likes it whenever Bakugou would smile like that, but it was too much for his poor heart that he couldn't help but reflexively looks away. But even hen he wasn't looking he could feel the blonde's eyes boring on him making him ten times more conscious than he already was.
