paradise

Sand soft as cotton.

Waves crashing down.

Dried up moss on the shore.

The sun baked the earth,

Sand remained cool and soft.

Floating bodies on the water,

Smiling faces plastered on their skin,

The sun baked them too,

They didn't care.

Colorful sails in the distance.

The wind warm and crisp.

Burbling water against hull.

Speedboats roared, skipped on the surface.

Leaving white rifts of seafoam,

Bubbled up and disappeared.

Couples holding hands,

Fingers interlocking,

Sun-baked skin.

Sunglasses stood on their faces,

Straw hats shaded their faces.

Sprawling tress offered shade,

Sitting under,

Giving a demure impression,

I was in paradise.

Inspiration came from while I was in vacay. Boracay, Philippines to be exact (yes I'm a proud Filipino, now you know my ethnicity. I'm pure if anyone's asking). Just jotted down the things I've seen while I was sitting under a tree away form the sun. (the picture above is actually Boracay, beautiful right? I didn't took it so don't patronize me)

I do not like to be baked please thank you very much (already pretty brown so no).

Anyways, hope y'all like it :)
