Alexis is blonde with blue eyes. Every time I see her, her nose is in a book. I try, not very hard, to get her attention. Nothing works. This might be a bit harder than I first thought.
After a week. I start bugging her. I poke her and ask about her books. Or untie her shoes. I take her phone, and unplug her ear buds. I just wanna talk to her. And I'm not sure how.
"So, how's life?" I ask.
"Fine. It'd be better if I was reading with my music." She says, glancing at her ear buds in my hand.
"Not happening." I say, with a smirk.
"Oh? Why not?" She asks, mocking me.
"Because you always have your nose in a book. This is the first time I've really heard you talk. At first I thought you were mute." I say.
"Mute?" She laughs.
"Yeah."
"I talk to my friends at lunch, dummy." She smiles. I like that smile.
"How would I know that?" I ask.
"Because, we have lunch together everyday." She says, looking up at me through her eyelashes, with a smirk on her face.
"So you have noticed me." I smirk.
"It's kinda hard not to. When you try so hard." She laughs.
