Topic 4: Anong technique ang kalimitang ginagamit n'yo sa plot o sa pagsusulat?
(flashback, flash-forward, backstory, foreshadowing, in media res)

Sa plot ate, naga-outline ako using Three Act Structure, Snowflake Method or Sulat sulat ng parang synopsis. Pero kadalasan bulletpoints lang. Kapag may idea isi-singit ko sa mga bullets. Tapos madalas din ako gumamit ng flashback. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero gusto ko 😂

Yung snowflake,

Start by a single sentence na nagsa-sum up ng plot mo. Tapos expand it as a paragraph then expand it to a synopsis.

Three-Act Structure naman is dividng the plot into three acts.

Act 1- Set-Up
Act 2- Condflict
Act 3- Resolution

Tapos bawat isang act, idivide uli into three sections each.

Act 1- Section 1: Set-up
Act 1- Section 2: Conflict
Act 1- Section 3- Resolution

Tapos divide each section into three chapters per section.

A1-S1-C1- set up
A1-S1-C2- conflict
A1-S1-C3- resolution.

Sa The Queens ko, flashback, foreshadowing at flash forward. 😁😁😁😁😁
Nagpapahapyaw ako sa nakaraan nung 2 main characters ko para iligaw readers ko. 😂Then yung mismong mga characters ang foreshadowing don. Mismong main characters. Hindi ko nire-reveal agad lahat sakanila. Then flash forward, kasi ung mga current na pangyayari, may mga clue akong binibigay para sa future. Wahihihihihihi. Kfine. 😂

Points to remember:
📌Flashback is an occurrence in which a character remembers an earlier event that happened before the current point of the story. There are two types of flashbacks—those that recount events that happened before the story started (external analepsis) and those that take the reader back to an event that already happened but the character is considering again (internal analepsis).

📌Flash forward is a scene that take places chronologically after the current action and  shows what is to come.

📌Backstory or background story is a set of events invented for a plot, presented as preceding and leading up to that plot. In acting, it is the history of the character before the drama begins, and is created during the actor's preparation.

📌Foreshadowing is a literary device in which the author gives clues about events that will happen later in the story.

📌In media res (Latin: "in the midst of the things") is the practice of beginning a narrative by plunging into a crucial situation that is part of a related chain of events; the situation is an extension of previous events and will be developed in the later action. The narrative then goes directly forward, and exposition of earlier events is supplied by flashbacks. (based on the practice of Homer in the Iliad and Odyssey)
