The limo pulls into an Ihop. Everyone gets out the car and go inside. We get a table that’s towards the middle of the restaurant. Diggy and I sit next to each other. Vanessa sits on the other side of me. Russy saw Daniel and me sitting together and got frustrated. He sat next to Jojo and stared at his menu. I felt kind of bad because I wasn’t sitting next to him or been hanging with him lately.
Jojo: What is wrong with you?
Russy: Nothing.
Jojo: You’re lying because you’re making that pouty face.
Russy: I’m not.
Jojo: You can’t lie to me. I’m looking right at your face man.
Russy: *Gets up* I’m going to the restroom.
Jojo: Whatever
Angela: What the heck is wrong with him?
Jojo: I don’t know but he keeps doing every time we eat.
Vanessa: Maybe it’s because he don’t like what we’re eating at that moment.
Jojo: He wasn’t doing it before; he just started doing this the morning of the funeral.
Vanessa: Oh
The waiter came to take everyone’s order. I ordered pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Diggy ordered bacon, sausage and waffles. Within 10 minutes everyone was eating their food. But then I felt I vibration in my pocket. I took out my phone and saw I had a text. It was from Diggy.
JetsetterGeneral: I love you J
AudreyElane: I love you too but why you text me to say that
JetsetterGeneral: Because I can and plus we need to talk
AudreyElane: About?
JetsetterGeneral: Us
AudreyElane: What about us?
JetsetterGeneral: We need to go on our first….
AudreyElane: Let me guess, date J
JetsetterGeneral: Yep but I’m not sure my mom would approve
AudreyElane: What? Yes she will
JetsetterGeneral: No she won’t she doesn’t even know about us.
AudreyElane: You sure about that?
JetsetterGeneral: Wait she knows about us?
AudreyElane: Yeah
JetsetterGeneral: How?
AudreyElane: I told her I had feelings for you at the mall and then her and I talked last night.
JetsetterGeneral: Oh…
AudreyElane: You seem upset did you not want her to know?
JetsetterGeneral: I wanted her to know it’s just that I don’t want her to tell everyone.
AudreyElane: it’s okay she won’t. I told her not to.
JetsetterGeneral: Oh ok then beautiful
AudreyElane: Aww I could just kiss you
JetsetterGeneral: I want to kiss you.
AudreyElane: muah!! Text kiss
JetsetterGeneral: Thank you. Let’s finish eating cutie
A bright smile came across my face afterwards. I realized that Russy was back and looked even angrier than before so my smile faded into a blank stare. I continued eating. I couldn’t stop thinking about Daniel and our first date. I placed my right hand in my lap. Daniel grabbed my hand and held it. I looked at Daniel and smiled. Just then a familiar face came in to the restaurant. Daniel was the first to notice.
Daniel: oh no…
Me: It’s cool just don’t look that way
I started grasping his hand really tight. I got to admit I was kind of scared. I didn’t want anything to happen again when the drama was dying down. But if it does happen again I’m prepared.
