ch.5 Katie Gardner

Long time no see guys! It's Katie Gardner here! You know how you've been shipping me with Travis? It's all come true!! I can't believe it! I used to hate him as well. Now he's so sweet!!

It's been nearly 2 years since the gods revealed themselves and I still haven't revealed myself. I was planning on doing it in about a week but, there was a slight change of plans.

Flashback to during Mythology class

I'm so bored... I mean really? Let's teach a demigod more mythology!!

Yeah so we have this really boring teacher called Ms Grey and apparently, I'm her least favourite student. Her favourite is this other girl who calls herself the daughter of Artemis.*sniggers* are you sure your brain's working? 'cause the last time I checked, Artemis was still a virgin goddess.

So this girl, Sylvia, is Ms Grey's favourite student. Today, Travis was coming to meet me, and we were going to camp afterwards.

We did a quick test in which I scored a 100 per cent, with an additional 10 per cent due to me writing in ancient Greek. Then Sylvia came up to me,

''Is your mom coming to parents evening tomorrow? oh wait, you don't have a mom. LOL''

I rolled my eyes and mimicked,

''Are you going to the Brainy competition? oh wait, you don't have a brain. LOL''

My friends were yelling, ''Apply cold water to that BURNNN!!''

That's when my phone rang. From Travis.

''Please put it on speaker phone Ms Gardner so everybody can hear your conversation. It might be an emergency after all.'' said Ms Grey grinning evilly.

(Travis: T, Katie: K)

T: ''Hey Katie!! What's up? your awesome boyfriend , aka son of Hermes here!''

K: ''Um, Travis I'm at school and it's on speaker now, so can we keep our, 'background' silent?''

T: ''Aw, but Kate! The gods already revealed themselves. Why can't we too? Anyways, Hi class. I'm Travis Stoll, son of Hermes. If I hear from anyone, and that's easy since I'm the son of the god of messengers, hear that my Katie is treated badly, beware. Your precious objects might well be gone tomorrow. See you after school Kate, and don't be late 'cause we going to Camp Half Blood tomorrow. Bye Class!!''

End of call

The class looked at me with bewilderment and I was about to leave, not being able to stand the awkward air when my mom flashed herself in the middle of the classroom. Knocking Sylvia off her chair.
My friends and I laughed as she tried to get up but couldn't because the wood which the chair was made out of started growing unstoppably because of my mother's presence.

Ms Grey went to help her but fell down tripping onto the roots. Soon there was a magnificent apple tree in the middle of my Mythology classroom.

Demeter walked up to me. I bowed.

''Now now Katie. You don't have to bow to your own mother. I trust that you've announced who you are already?''

''No mother. I was getting to it'' I said through gritted teeth.

''Well go on then.''

''I am Katie Gardner, daughter of Demeter, head counsellor of cabin 4, I can use chlorokinesis which means I can grow plants, and I can speak to plant spirits. As a weapon, I use my twin blades, which are morphed into my earrings, and I am the girlfriend of Travis Stoll, son of Hermes''

With that, Demeter flashed me next to Travis, who jumped in surprise. I laughed and kissed him on the nose.

We went to watch 'Jungle Book' after that. I loved the forest. We drove back to Camp Half-Blood. Enjoying the sunset.

And that's how we became Tratie

A/N I hoped you liked that chapter. I didn't know much about what Katie accomplished so I just wrote her powers. Please tell me if you know though. All characters belong to Rick, except the plot and the ones you've never heard of.
