Jamie's P.O.V

" I promise." WHAT THE LITERAL HECK!? Am I dreaming? Or am I really hugging Lottie Pumpkin? I guess this is supposed to be one of those special moments?

" S-sorry!" Lottie jumped back.

" that was childish and unprofessional of me." I want childish Lottie back, right now. But I guess I have to be professional as well.

" It's alright, only this time. The important thing, is that you realized your mistake." I hate acting cold towards Lottie. But I have to! I can only act soft around her when we're alone, and that doesn't happen often.

" Go get into something more formal, training is over. Besides, you have princess lessons." Lottie's eyes widened at me.

" Right! Thanks! Bye!" she ran into the side room  and ran back out with her dress in her hands and darted to her room to change. I stayed in my black t-shirt and black sweatpants and walked out side into the cold.

I was laying in the snow in the rose garden, barefoot and without a jacket. I stared up at the pale gray sky. I could feel my toes and fingers going numb. If I ever feel confused about something, I normally lie in the snow and sort out my emotions. My view of the sky was obstructed when Ellie stood above me.

" Come ice pop! Inside."

" Why?"

" Because I need to talk to you. And quite personally, I don't like the snow. Rain I'm okay with."

" Fine." I got up only to notice Ellie was decked out head to toe with 8 inch thick winter clothes. I could barley see her face from the scarf and fluffy hood.

We we're inside the palace. I was standing on front of Ellie while she sat in a chair in the study. We we're basically hiding behind a bookcase. Lottie was on the other side, more distant from the bookcase, but still on the other side. Lottie was re-learning maravish dialect, re-learning proper manners, and re-learning ball room basics.

" Why are we here instead of your room?" I whispered. Ellie's gaze remained fixed on what Lottie was doing. She was peering through the books on the bookshelf.

" Listen. I'm sorry for taking the leggings you prepped for Lottie. I needed them! Look, I spilt tea on my other clothes and if I didn't take the leggings I would have had to wear a dress. Not. Happening."

" What a shock. And tell me why we're here." Ellie can be a pain sometimes.

" Okay, fine. Do you see how Lottie is more loopy and day dreamy?"

" Yeah, whats the point?" I guess she does look like shes in dreamland.

" That's a problem! We're going back to Rosewood Hall, in three days! We need to get her back on track! Jamie, I know I wasn't supposed to hear this, or tell anyone, but..."

" What?"

" Edmund-is-attending-Rosewood-Hall-and-my-Dad-is-trying-to-find-Lottie-a-potential-suitor-a.k.a-BOYFRIEND!" NOPE! Lottie can't have a boyfriend! Wait! Why do I care!?

" Please tell me your lying."

" Why would I lie about something like that? What if Edmund get a hold of that information, and tries to be Lottie's boyfriend?" I'm not letting that happen. I'm going to regret this.

" What if... What if he gets put in Ivy house? What if I request him as my roommate? I could keep an eye on him."

" Not going to work, remember, you have weapons in your room. Not happening!" shes right.

" But he was in the room next to you..." see, if Ellie actually thinks, she can be smart. That could work though. I have another idea, but there is no way Lottie or Ellie would approve. Not even the king, maybe Ellie's Mom...
