23: The Scarlet Demons

"So you two are demons and not mod souls?" Yuki asked amazed

"My sister just said it. Are you not listening?" Remilia said with a sneer

Flandre pushed her sister's face away and stood in front of Yuki.

"Please don't mind my sister. She's always has this attitude and she can never get rid of it."

"So you're kissin' her ass now all of a sudden?" Remilia said then received a kick from Flandre

"I know you have questions, Mistress. Spill it out and we'll answer it if we can." Flandre added before sitting down

"Why are you in marbles?" Yuki asked the question that's been itching in her brain

"Those are not marbles, they are called Bead Gems. And we didn't choose to become Bead Gems, we were forced to be in that state. It's after we fought this shinigami who wanted to stop us from wrecking havoc in his place." Remilia replied while scratching her ear

"What's a Bead Gem?" Yuki asked again

"A Bead Gem is a state that weakened demons enter to conserve what remains of its power. It's like a recharge and regenerate mode. We we're in that mode for more than a hundred years after battling a certain shinigami." Flandre answered with her arms crossed

"That must be a very strong shinigami. To push the both of you that far." Yuki said in awe and wonder

"Yes he is. You might know him. Genryusai Shinkeguni Yamamoto. Does it ring a bell?" Flandre said with a smirk

Yuki's eyes widened. Yama-jii? Yama-jii is the shinigami who almost took them down?!

"From your reaction alone Mistress, I say you know him?" Flandre asked further

"Yes I know him. He's Yama-jii, the one who brought me here in and took care of me." Yuki answered

"Probably also the one who placed you in this tower." Remilia snickered which earned her a glare from Flandre

"Well not exact-"

Yuki was halted from her speech when she heard an explosion that happened outside. The three of them quickly went towards the window to see five projectiles scattering from the sky.

"Ara ara, looks like something is bound to happen." Remilia snickered with interest

"I wonder what was that." Yuki said then started to feel unfamiliar reatsus

"These reatsus. I don't recognize any of them. Could they be enemies?" She muttered when she felt something land on her shoulder

"Want us to check it out?" Flandre suggested

"Eh? You can do that? Won't the other shinigamis notice you?"

"You worry to much, Mistress. We have some tricks up our sleeves." Remilia landed on her other shoulder

"And since we are obligated to serve you for giving us bodies and releasing us from our Bead Gems, you can ask us to do anything." Flandre added

"Really?" Yuki is really clueless

"Well it's a demon thing, we can talk about it later." Remilia said and stretched "So, tell us what to do."

Yuki looked at the both of them then outside. She gave a sigh and patted there heads.

"Can you check what's happening and report it to me." Yuki asked as the falling projectiles landed themselves in different parts of Seiretei

"Yes, Mistress." Flandre and Remilia said at the same time with smirks on their faces

Then, wings like the symbols on there Bead Gems sprouted behind their backs. Bat-like red and black wings on Flandre and long, thin branch-like wings with dangling diamond shaped multicolored crystals behind Remilia.

"What is seen by one, let all take a glimpse
What once was divided, converge and eclipse
Hear our call, to grant our wish
One-eye."

After the sisters said the chant, a magic circle appeared beneath Yuki and all of a sudden, her eyesight seem to widen it's range.

"Whoa. I can see almost everywhere around me!" Yuki exclaimed and roamed her head around

"With our One-eye spell, we get to share with you what we see," Flandre said

"And we get to see what you see." Remilia finished

"That's so cool. Thank you." Yuki said and the two flapped their wings to hover in front of her

"No need for that." Flandre smiled at her. "We'll be going then." And the Scarlet Sisters dove down from the tower window

"Oh yes and one more thing." Flandre flew back up again

"You can communicate with us through telepathy. Okay babye for real." Remilia added and dove down again

'Conceal.' Both chanted in their heads and soon they become invisible to the naked eye

"Should we split up sister? We can cover more ground if we do that." Remilia suggested to which Flandre agreed

"Approach the places with the highest reatsu activity. That's where more likely something interesting is happening."

The sisters nodded to each other and separated ways on the first fork they encountered.

A/N

I know, short chapter but all I wanna do here is just introduce the sisters a little before they do some major things in the future.

Also, as what I said in the earlier chapters, this is the time where I alter the anime a little bit and make my own timeline since it's not Rukia being executed anymore.

I don't own Bleach by the way. Only the characters and plot I made up.
