What It's Like To Be Unknown (FINISHED!!!!!)

Chapter 2- What should I do?

His name boomed in my head. David.

He wanted to die. I could give him immortality. To make his life better. The only question is; Can he survive The Change?

The smell came again. Blood. His blood. My blood. I wanted his blood. I needed it in order to survive. I mean come on. I'm a vampire.

Biting my bottom lip I felt my fangs slide from my gums and into my lip. Ignoring the small pain I lifted my head, "Hello David." I let him out of my control to let him speak.

"Wha- what do you want with me?" He stood his ground like he wasn't afraid even though he stuttered and I could feel his fear, "Never mind. I don't care. I want to die; you seem like you want to kill me; It's a win win. If you don't mind killing me tonight that would be great. I don't want to live past then." He had a grin on his face that read: I'll get what I want either way; playing on his lips.

I put some sarcasm in my voice when I said, "Look, I can do us both a favor," I said smiling putting my head down a little so the shadows hid it, " How about this, I drain you dry 'cause I hate the way your blood is taunting me, and you'll die; just as you wish."

"I want to die. But there's things i'm going to miss. I would run away, but every time I have the police found me. I want my family to suffer, being as they made me." His black hair was in his face just as some people call "emo hair". He was wearing black skinny jeans with a black t- shirt. His beat up old black vans looked as miserable as he did during the slide-show. He was very attractive. I felt as though I was going to throw up cause I hadn't felt this way about someone sense Ben.

If I gave him immortality everything would be the way it should be. I would have a chance with him, he would be alive, and get the revenge on his family they deserve. He has to prove his strong enough to handle it... But the deep cuts on his wrist, and the millions of scars prove it. He's been through enough to prove it. Now all he has to prove that he won't turn against me.

"I have plan in mind...." I said, "But i'm not sure if you can handle it. For one, it's agonizing. Two, I don't know if I can trust you."

"What do you have in mind?" He smirked as if he read my thoughts and knows what I was going going to ask.

"Immortality."

"What are you saying? Are you offering it to me?"

"Just a thought but, yes."

"What will happen to me? What will I... Become?" The look in his eyes said yes, but his trembling hands said no.

"I bite you, drain you, release my venom, your in agonizing pain for a week at least. But you get gifts. My gifts. From what you humans call them..." I had to think of the name," Ummm... Super powers? You become what I am. A Vampire."

He seemed to consider it for a moment, and finally said," Ok. I want immortality."

I moved closer. So close we where touching. I whispered in his ear," Good."

He gulped as if i was going to bite him then. "When will you..."

"Now. Hold still. Don't move." I whispered. I moved my lips to his neck; Kissed it, then opened my mouth. My fangs were out just as previously before. I put my hand right under his Adams apple. My fangs slid into the big, blue vein, and within the first gulp I was in heaven. I drank. The more I drank, the more I wanted. I released the venom and stopped drinking so it could spread. Then continued drinking. I was about to ask how he was doing when a cold, hard hand grabbed my shoulder and pulled me away.

He pulled me up by my jacket and threw me onto a bunch of trash bags about ten feet away. He was a vampire that followed the law. Crap.

As he started running towards David I stood up. "Hey! You afraid to fight a girl? Is that why you threw me? Come on. Be a man." I laughed and he whirled around.

Right when he looked me in the eyes I said," Pain," And he crumpled to the ground in pure agony.

I ran to David, " Are you ok?" I asked checking for any bite marks.

"Ya, ya. I'm fine."

"Come on. We have to go to my place. Now."

As we started running. Running down the street and around the corner to my house. I had to focus on the man who attacked us so he would stay in pain on the ground while we ran.

Right when we got to the fence I said, "Are you in pain any pain yet?"

He looked at me as if I should know, but with his hair covering his blue eyes it was hard to tell what was going on. I looked into his eyes as he looked into mine and I could have sworn I saw something that said I like you back. But I snapped myself out of it. I had too if we wanted to be safe.

"Do you trust me?" I asked him. Afraid that we might not have much time.

"Yeah...."

"Good." I looked at him and with what little energy I had I used my mind to lift him up through my window and did the same with myself.

It started to rain right when we got inside. "That was... Different," he said with some ah in his voice.

" Lay down on my bed." I ordered. And he did as I said.

I walked over to my door to make sure it was locked.

"Ask me any questions in the morning. If you have the breath." I said.

As I took off my jacket my bright blonde hair spilled onto my shoulders. I kicked off my boots and tied my hair back. My bed was big enough to fit four people if I wanted. So I got in and layed down.

David turned to face me. "This is the first time i've ever seen your face. You're so young. How old are you?"

"Fourteen. I've been through more then people go through in a lifetime. Don't mess with me."

"Didn't plan on it. What's your name?"

"I said you can ask me questions in the morning."

"If I had the breath. I want to know some stuff now."

"And I need you to rest now."

"Please." The look in his eyes just made my heart melt, and the desperate need in his voice made my want to scream.

" Fine. My name is Jenna, but people call me Jen. I'm fourteen. I was turned just as you are being. It's illegal to turn Humans into Vampires. And here's something random. I got my lip pierced twice on my left side. It's still pierced. The rings just aren't in at the moment."

He moved his hair to away from his mouth so I could see the two lip piercings to the right (his left). He gave a small laugh. But I could tell he was in pain just breathing. He gave a small cough.

"Don't be afraid to show pain. Many tried to hide it and that's how they died from The Change. I'm going to be your Mentor. In other words i'm going to show you how to control yourself, drink, and use your powers. You're going to be in a lot of pain tomorrow. Don't be afraid. It's normal. Now sleep. And by the way. My room is soundproof. So scream if you need to. Goodnight David. It will all be worth it. Trust me."

"Goodnight Jen." He closed him beautiful eyes and I sat there and watched him sleep. For what seemed like a very long time, before I fell asleep myself.
