Zoey's POV

Cheer tryouts are about to start, me and Laina are getting a bit nervous but ready to show our moves

"Nervous?" I ask Laina

"Yep" she replies

"Don't worry. As long as there are no distractions, we will be fine"

"OMG! JONAH AND ZACH ARE WATCHING CHEER TRY OUTS!!" Someone yells and points at the bleachers

"Wait what?" Me and Laina say in shock

They were sitting on the bleachers and they were looking at our direction.

"Maybe they're just here to kiss another cheerleader again" Laina guess trying not to look back at Jonah

"You're right, we're not gonna let our bullies ruin this for us"

**during cheer try outs**

"Hey, you're next to try out to be the flyer" I tell Laina

(If you don't know what a flyer is, its actually the one that they throw in the air and does flips"

"I know, and I'm kinda nervous" She admits

"Don't worry, I was nervous too when it was my turn. But I'm right here to support you, you're gonna do great big sis"

"Thanks Z"

"Laina! You're next" The cheerleader calls her

Jonah's POV

"Look, Laina is next to be the flyer" Zach points

"I'm sure she got this, have you seen her flips?" I reply with a smile

"Careful there bro, you're staring at Laina and smiling. Ain't that gonna make people suspicious if they see you"

"Shhhhh, she's about to go"

After she was immediately thrown into the air, the people who should be catching her are ready, but since they are all girls.....

"AHHHH SPIDER ON MY LEG!!!!!" One girl yelled and everyone who was suppose to catch Laina ran away

SHE'S GONNA FALL AND HURT HERSELF!!!!

"Laina!" I yell as I ran to the field to save her

I was able to get into position and catch her just in time before she got hurt

"Jonah?" She ask looking at me a bit....actually a lot confused

"Jonah Marais saved Laina!!" Everyone cheers

"Thank you for saving me" She says with a slight smile

"No problem" i reply

"Um.....you can put me down now"

"Oh yeah..." I put her down

Crud! Trying to hide my feelings but i had to save her.....

Laina's  POV

After Jonah finally let me down, I quickly ran to Zoey

"Jonah Marais just saved you" Is the first thing she said when she saw me

"I know! Why?" I ask

"I guess we're just overreacting, I mean everyone will do the same. You almost met your death or more like a broken nail"

"Overreacting? Remember 8th grade when he almost broke my face by hitting me with a baseball! All he did was laugh and I got a bloody nose for the whole day"

The Girls...

Laina:
"So i was basically falling with no one to catch me since the people who were suppose to ran away because of a spider. And out of no where he catches me and he was smiling!!" i explain to the girls what happened

We were just grabbing a few things from our locker and then we get to go home. Chloe should be good now and ready to go to school tomorrow

"He just did that because you were really in trouble. Anyone would do the same"

Haley:
"No way Daph! Jonah Marais was the guy that almost destroyed Laina's face in 8th grade, right before the day of school picture day" Haley exclaims

Daphne:
"Oh yeah..... well at least you guys made the team!" Daphne tries to change the topic

Zoey:
"Yeah! And pep rally is tomorrow!"

Laina:
"So happy that Chloe will be ok tomorrow and she can watch"

Zoey:
"Speaking of Chloe, we gotta get home before she hogs up the fortnite game again!"

The Boys...

Eben:
"So I heard them talking about how Jonah saved Laina. To be clear, they are pretty shocked" Eben explains after he eavesdropped on the girls

Daniel:
"Nice job lady's man" Daniel says in sarcasm

Jonah:
"You guys worry to much, I'll just tweet about me saving her because it was the right thing to do. Everyone would have done the same"

Jack:
"You saving her because 'its the good thing'?
How do you care to explain on what you did to her face in 8th grade?"

Jonah:
"Its was just her face, this one was entire injury of the body"

Corbyn:
"But how about— looks like you can get through this easily"

Zach:
"If only it was this easy to explain why I gave Zoey a rose"

Eben:
"Actually the girls thought that it was just a dare or you were just in a good mood cause you were able to make out with cheer captain Loren Gray"

Zach:
"How many conversations have you been eavesdropping?"

Eben:
"Quite a lot. You guys make out with a couple of girls and I eavesdrop on private conversations"
